Thread: What can Swordsman consistently solo? + Otehr Swordsman questions... THANKS!

Hello Everybody!
First, please look at my current template below. A friend of mine is a fast advancing Jedi that just made Guardian. I hated holo grinding, but will do the quest system wehn it comes out. My Jedi buddy suggested between now and the Jedi Quest patch that I get as many pearls and force crystals as I can to speed up the process. And I gues NS Elders & Canyon Krayts are the way to go for both. Can you guys and gals consistently solo those? I love Feign death! It is has saved my butt oh plenty. I have some much in my template already. If I just switched out Master Sword for my Master Fencer, would that be enough you think to solo these? With this template I can solo a lot, btu fall short just a tad with Elders and Krayt. And believe me, with all the bio clothing, Uber armor with attachments, and all the food I use... I am maxed out from a defense standpoint. I just dont think Fencer weaponary is enough for Elders and Krayts usually and more importantly, consistently. Final question, how good is Counterattack?

I am a Master Swordsman / Master Rifleman... last night using only my swordsman skills... I soloed my first Nightsister Elder.
I was double brandied, buffed and 80% kinetic composite armored. It was a matter of keeping intimidate on, warcrying before healing myself, using a canepe when the mind got low, keeping her bleeding and spamming melee2hHeadhit3. The rest just took time.

Porag: What does Warcry before healing doing? And what else are you besides Rfile and Sword? Thanks for the response!

Warcry delays your victim for 10 seconds. This is a good time for healing yourself, throwinga couple of posture shots/bleeds, intimidating or (as I am want to do only being 0/1/0/1 swordsman) RUNNING.

OK, if its crystals you're looking for, ignore the NS elders. Yes, you can solo them, but it takes too long. You can kill alot more lower ranking NS stuff in less time. More loot chances means more good loot.
I hunt for rangers, spellweavers, protectors, initiates(when they are alone in a group, no slaves) and sentinels. They all fold pretty quick. Went hunting last night and looted 4 clear crystals. As a group, me and 2 buddies pulled around 12 crystals and 3 exceptional loots last night(power 5, chiten chest, and mabari weave chest.) We never touched an elder.
For pearls, yeah you're stuck with doing dragons. The juvies fold pretty quick. If you can pull them and have the canyon stay behind, thats the way to go. Pulled more pearls of of juvies than canyons anyway.
If you want to roll canyons and NS elders, you're better off going with a group of friends.

As a Master Doctor / Swordsman I can solo Elders. Havnen't tried anything else yet, but that's pretty damn good imo.

master doc/master swordsman - haven't had problems soloing elders yet... im going to try the ancient krayt and gorax as soon as i can find one =P

sup jinook elders are really annoying to kill and just takes to long. i would kill more krayts and stuff instead of ns elders. but you should kill tons of low lvl ns expecally outcasts they seem to have the highest drop rates then any other NS.
but for the best crystals you have to kill elders and krayts but for just to load up on crystals for the grinfd kill the low lvl ns. then kill a few elders and krayts for pvp sabers once you get to knight

OK, in order to solo and Canyon Krayt or smaller, or any NS other than Axkva or an Elder you need
Master Swordsman
in order to solo an Anciant Krayt, Axkva, or an Elder you need
novice Medic <------ME
in order to GET to Axkva before someone one else kills her you need
0340 doc (or a doc to buff you right at reset at the cave enterance)
in order to KS the acklay from another masterswordsman while you use a HEAVY AXE to his scythe you need
Speed Capped in swordsman.

i am currently levelling swordsmen and reading this post i can see how soloing an elder shouldnt be too tough . however i am wondering how do you guys get around the knockdown dizzy attacks of krayt dragons ?

Defenses. Plus the fact ath I can peace an anciant krayt for 5 minutes, never heal. and will be just fine, while KDed. I think all my Def vs. are above 55 MY melee def is over 130 and my ranged over 120 if I ever get in trouble, I have before..I switch to fencer though, cause dodge works better.
