NEW Profession Prerequisites:

* Rifleman = Marksman, Rifles Tree (4 boxes), Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes)
* Carbineer = Marksman, Carbine Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes)
* Pistoleer = Marksman, Pistol Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes)
* Pikeman = Brawler, Polearm Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Brawler Unarmed Specialization Tree (4 boxes)
* Swordsman = Brawler, 1H Sword Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Brawler, 2H Sword Specialization Tree (4 boxes)
* Fencer = Brawler, 1H Sword Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Brawler, Unarmed Specialization Tree (4 boxes)
* TKA= Brawler, Unarmed Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Brawler, 2H Sword Specialization Tree (4 boxes)
* Bounty Hunter = Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes), Scout Exploration Tree (4 boxes)
* Commando = Brawler, Unarmed Specialization Tree (4 boxes), Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes)
* Squad Leader = Marksman Ranged Support Tree (4 boxes), Scout Survival Tree (4 boxes)

Swordsman will basically have to take up 1h sword specialization (that formally of fencer) more of a skill point black pit

The combat Nerf is going to be aweful, if SOE's past performance is any indicator. They will implement useless fixes for things were issues years ago but no longer are.



When is this scheduled to hit? I'm hoping to finish the village in time so that I don't have to deal with the three year's worth of bugs that will be involved with the nerf. THEY STILL won't fix things that were broken in beta two years ago.

So basically they take away the ability to hybrid your class, no more swordsmen/doc! Anyone else play EQ2? If not you will!

This is gonna suck... I can see it all now, hey bro u wanna go do some krayts? Naa thats boring plus you need a group of 20 to take 1 down.... So now everyone can spend 5 hours trying to put a group together where ur buffs last like an hour... Not a upgrade its a nerf /cry

/agree who what kind of template is Only Swordsman, or only fencer, or only rifleman. Not a big fan of the way this sounds, hopefully SOE will prove me wrong.

These changes make me feel physically ill. I predict a mass exodus. Entertainers do not want new songs and dances (who cares). We want CONTENT, a role in the GCW. Image Designers do not want their profession made a valueless add-on, they want CONTENT. No stat migration? How are they going to get xp? And talking about no stat migration: cookie cutter HAM bars. Bah. I love the variety in this game. I do not want cookie cutter junk. You are marginalising the non-combat professions, and for what?


I love playing my Master Swordsman / Doc / 18 points FS. You are telling me to forget about doc crafting. You are also telling me to take skills I do not want or dump the fs mods I worked hard for to get. I love playing my other accounts. They are not perfect, but I like their skills as they are.


I don't WANT you to mess with the entire system. It works. No one is complaining about imbalance in SP used, we are complaining about imbalance in actual ABILITIES and a lack of CONTENT. Could you please just fix the professions? And stop messing with what works?


And another thing: who was complaining about buffs? Nerf the armor, by all means, it will force is all to work together to a much greater extent. But what is so very wrong about buffs? They give people afar more equal chance than what you are now proposing. What about crafters who need a buff to check harvesters? 1000 HAM + 20%? You are going to lose all of them.


Already your announced or rumored changes are doing nasty things to the economy. Who wants to stock armor when it is getting nerfed anyway? Who wants to create buffs if no one knows what is going to happen with them?


I actually had hope for the game when I saw the last few publishes. This makes me want to throw in the towel. It does not fix anything, it just places us all in yet another beta, with all the bugs all over again.


5 accounts here, SOE. Think about it, because sure as hell, I am not staying if this turns out as I fear it will.

It just looks like the powers that be got frustrated that there are so many problems the devs could never fix them all, so why not get rid of all the old problems with NEW problems so no one can say so and so bug has not been fixed for two years. Now the timer starts fresh.

personally i think alot could have been solved by simply nerfing templates. Every profession in this game has a weakness and a strength. All they had to do was make it that if you are holding a swordsman weapon, then you get a swordsman stats and defenses. you shouldnt be allowed to build defenses by taking other professions. that would have solved almost every problem
