Thunderheart hasn't been here since sometime back in 2004 as well. It was funny seeing posts by him back in April of 2004 about a SL revamp heading this way...and the smugglers thought they had it bad.

How aboutany of the devs...

Blixtev? Nope....he mentioned us once in a disussion on armor certs "as squad leaders are pretty rare."

JFreeman? Nope...he hasn't used the word Squad on the public boards

GreenMarine? Nope...same as JFreeman

SWG-Goliath? Nope...

Kylaena? Nope...

If I missed one, I appologize...the search feature on the forums isn't great by any means.

I realize that the devs are busy people and there is much to work on. That the more time they spend on the boards, the less time they have to code...but really.....nothing? They have nothing to say?

Soon, not even a rally call will be enough to boost moral.

No offense bud, but get in line. We Smugglers have been waiting since 2003, since before TH. We may get communication once every 6 months or so, but more often than not it's to tell us we've been pushed back or POSTPONED again.

I feel for you though. I really thought the CU was where they should have gotten Squad Leader fixed. You don't get more combat oriented than SL and they did absolutely nothing for you except give you some of the coolest weapons in game. But why would anyone pick a profession just for looks since you can get weapons with the same stats anyway.

Really, I'm behind you guys getting some attention, just trying to make sure you get your facts straight.

(PS- The slicing fix does not count as Smuggler love. Well it does since we basicly took it up the rear on that one. All Smuggler love seems to be along the lines of jailhouse love, so here's to hoping you don't get any Smuggler love. )

This in no way excludes some of the other professions that have it bad as well such as ranger and commando. We SL are not alone in our lack of love. That was not the point of my post. It was about SL...mainly because it is in the SL profession forum.

and Tiggs, don't take the post the wrong way...sometimes people just have to be reminded that they need to stop by a little more often. Morale is low, and knowing that we are not forgotten helps a little.

First off...to those pointing out GM is gone...He just left...so he was more than able to post here before the 19th. He is the one that pioneered our profession after all. So all you pointing that out can chill.

And to this poster.....listen "pal", my comments in the threadwere in regards to the last time a red name had posted...I am positive we would find more red name posts in Smuggler than SL and more recently as well, so I don't see what you have to get all mad about with that comment. Prove me wrong. You can't because I have my facts straight. Smugglers have it bad, but they have hope because from time to time, a red name gives them some attention (as in actual info instead of the "I'm here watching stuff"). Squad Leaders haven't seen that in about 8 months...and that seems to be about the time that the devs realized they even had a Squad Leader profession.

I agree it would be nice for you guys to get some communication, what I'm saying is that to say you have it worse than Smuggler is a gross oversight. When you look at the number of posts that have a positive announcement for that community compared to the number of ones that detract from it, you may be a little glad to be overlooked some. What I'm saying is that you're better off discussing another profession when referring to something like that because NONE of you want the kind of attention/communication we get. I'm not gonna link it, but go into the Smuggler forums and look at "the history of Smuggler" thread to see what kind of communication we get.

I'm not knocking you man, and I know registered dates have nothing to do with when people start playing the game, but I look at yours and wonder if you really know what you're saying about the track record of communication and the Smuggler profession.

All ignored professions deserve some communication at this point, and all ignored professions have it bad. I'd prefer not to say one deserves it more than the other, but what's done is done. What none of us need is for communication is to get one post about how we're being developed followed by three to five about why we're being pushed for another two years.

You know what assuming does right? I have been in this game almost daily since Beta3. I was a smuggler starting back in 2003. Unlocked my jedi under the "great holo grind rush" back in early 2004. Thus I have been every profession. I am a guild leader of a successful guild and mayor of a lvl5 city on Naboo. I think when it comes to understanding communication and the smuggler profession, I am well aware...and that is why I was shocked to see how bad off the SLs and Rangers were. I thought us smugglers had it bad...till I changed to SL and saw the reality. No, trying to say I haven't been around long is way off, as I have very likely been around longer than you. Not too many of us from Beta3 are still around...let alone been here and never left.

All ignored professions deserve some communication at this point, and all ignored professions have it bad. I'd prefer not to say one deserves it more than the other, but what's done is done. What none of us need is for communication is to get one post about how we're being developed followed by three to five about why we're being pushed for another two years.

Again...this is about SLs as it is in the SL forum. If you have problems with being a smuggler and the issues they are having..feel free to take it back there. I'm not in the Smuggler forum posting about SL am I?

I'm not here to thump chests and say we are worse off than you. I said that it had been a long while since we got communication fro the devs and smugglers thought they had it bad and you chose to take offense to that. Sorry. I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you.
