Thread: Mandalorian armor.

A freind of mine on TC was part of a group that made it to the forge with a DE. They only had one binary liquid and one protective coating, enough to make one item of the armor. Helmet was a natural choice.

Here it is...

The base armor (BH armor) is looted and has resistance ranges from as low as 20% to as high as 90%... it is unknown how those base stats effect the final armor. So don't expect this to be the norm.

lol. what about the method of getting it is easy to you?! plus it doesn't drop it must be crafted in the bunker, so not every peice of armor coming out of the bunker is going to be the same

Well, as much as I love the idea of having it, the Mando armor still seems nothing more than trophy armor. Weighing in the difficulty to actually GET just one piece of it and craft it.... it's not worth it. Sorry. The fact that I'm seeing no real mods, bonuses, and still pretty heavy encumberance (sure you can get the expert crafters down there but like i said the difficulty)...what's so great about it? It's still a flat out nada it seems.

I'm dismayed. But not overly. I didn't put much faith in the new "trophy armor" simply because right now Composite is still better and easier for me to get, and seems to do pretty much the same thing (if not better).

Well, you know composite is going to max out at 50% right? Take another look at the mandolorian with 'that' in mind.

Even with that in mind it it's not worth it. Remember that the difficulty to get it is still insane, and that those resists were not much higher than 50 percent. The reward vs. the cost between the too still seems questionable.

This was the first... and only done on TC.

When people on live figure out how to get it, we should see more variation.

Plus the Combat Balance is going to change a lot of how this works, so give it a few months and we will see how good it is then.

They did'nt use one of thier better pieces of armor. Some BH armor peices have dropped with 90% resists. Of course it is dissapointing the Helmet had no special skill mods or anything. Right now its looking like a trophy armor like RIS. The combat balance would have to nerf Composite into the ground for that Mandolorian Helmet to be remotely worth it for general use though. At least it looks cool.

ya , ris was just as bad in the begin... but look ad ris armor now , pepole know more how to make it ris has mostly 90% on everything these days

and if you use a 70% bh armor i am sure it will be much better then if you use a 20% bh armor

The armor is useless......COMPLETELY useless

it doesnt matter HOW you look at it or even allowing for GREAT resources + 90% BH armor used to craft it

why?

it has 4 vulnerabilities...and 2 fairly common ones. Itd be useless in PvP

Im also annoyed that it is not Medium armor liek Fett and the Deathwatch are......and that it is vulnerable to lightsabers. Mandalorian armor was supposed to be SUPERB against Sabers by every account in the source materials for Star Wars.
