Thread: An Interesting Idea I just had.
Well I have an idea that might sound strange and would probably never be implemented but still here it is.
What if there were skills that could be used by other professions that can only be used when certain Professions like SquadLeader were in charge of the group.
SquadLeader Leads: Master Rifleman get a new skill that he can only use while a Master SquadLeader is leading the group.
Let me hear your ideas on this as well as any ideas for skills that other professions wouls gain. Wouls make more groups start looking for Masrer SquadLeaders.

You know what, I really, really like this idea! Elaborate on it as much as you can, and I'd like to see other folk's comments on this. Very interesting indeed.
Well, a quick thought to add to the table. Lots of people have been in support of the "bunker" idea. Why not make this a Ranger skill that is "unlockable" and only usuable when grouped with a Squad Leader?
I also really like this idea. This is probably something you want to have as you go up the SL tree. Something like "Profession Special 1" under leadershipII and "Profession Special 2" under Leadership IV. What sorts of specials would we give the various professions though?
For combat professions we are looking at:
Pistoleer
Rifleman
Carbineer
Commando
Bounty Hunter
Smuggler
Marksman
Healing professions could also benefit
Combat Medic
Doctor
Medic
So what sort of specials could we do? Or would the specials just beef up their specials? Use special 2 and it gives them a multiplier on their specials for a few seconds? So a Pistoleer uses a fanshot that normally does 1200 dmg and it does 1500 or 1700. That would be awesome. Maybe the profession special thing would be PC targeted and then at master you get "Group Profession Special 1" which does the whole group at once with the modifier applied to profession special 1. Something like that.

Why not give us a passive boost to everything at master? It doesn't have to be verylarge, but say an across the board %10-15 boost to all skills, reduction of HAM, etcwhile people are in our group (only as a master SL). Seems like a good RP thing, having a squad leader would allow everyone focus on their talents/jobs rather then be worried as much about who does what, makes sense to me.
This would make us valuable to all types of groups.If that sounds too crazy maybe give us a base %5 across the board boost, and add%1more per group member. That way its a max %20 for having a full group, or just a little help for having a small group. It should be useful for both big and large groups, I'm not a fan of making ususeful only if we have 20 people grouped.
If not that, then maybe give a certain percentage on specific areas based on what classes are present (sortuf the same idea as above, except everyone would get it not just the individual class). The RP could be that with the varied classes present, eachhave learnedto use some tricks they picked up from theothers.

I really like this Idea a squad leader should be some one that can get you to do things that you normal can not do. they are leaders of people that pull out the best potentail of the teamates grouped with them. This is an awsome and fresh idea.
I want a SL command that can instantly add a cookie to everyone's inventory.........high HAM costs though, as this may be very advantageous....
