Thread: How do you distinguish yourself as a leader?

I remember the first group that I led. It was an Imperial mission run and the first item of loot that I picked up off a corpse was this black swoop hat. Ever since then, I've been wearing that hat everytime I started a group. Eventually, I had worn it so often that people started to notice whenever I didn't have it on. Even my friend Akane started calling it my "leader hat".

Some people like to have a sword at the read, or some people have other articles of clothing that look snappy. Heck, some people even color their bodies differently to stand out . So what I'm asking you is this: Do you have anything that symbolizes your status as a leader? Or if you don't, do you act in a certain manner to differentiate yourself from your peons... err groupmates?

Armor-shmarmor. I always walk around with my trusty green camo Spec-ops jacket (whcih looks absolutely great on Tattoine [rolls eyes], haven't found a good yellow one yet), a 5 o'clock shadow on my chin (from being out in the canti-err, bush ), and mygood 'oleT-21.

My armor is all black except one shoulder which is silver for recognition. If I don't wear my armor, Iuse a black head wrap.

For PVP i always wore my armor which was all crimson red for the crimson guard, but what made me stand out was my formal skirt which was crimson red and black and a had a ton of SL seas on it.

otherwise what usually distiguishes me as an SL in group is "Form up you slimeballs!" lol

I have worn a number of items while perfroming my duties as SL, but I have tended to wear a pair of Black & Red cammo pants and a Red & Silver Dress Unifrom Jacket. I have also been known to wear my Green Tantel Armor Helmet, with my either Republic Blaster or T-21 in hand.

Now if only they had capes...I'd go for flowing, stately looking cape of crimson or purple.

Or maybe standards.. you know those flags that troops in ancient Rome carried or the ones that the Japanese samurai wore on their backs. Mine would probably be a chicken as I'd be running away from the first sight of a combat medic

Armor is just so uncomfortable! Even when i'm getting shot I would much rather run around like my head is cut off than take the blows.
I used to have a uniform/military outfit that looked good. I also make sure anyone under me doesn't give me **edit**

I can't even wear armor, much less afford it.. much less buy it . I do have enough faction points to get a uniform. And I don't know if it's still like this, but I wouldn't be able to wear the imperial hat because of that built in wig that's inside it hehe.

Nice, I like the all red, like waving a flag in front of a bull. But hey, somebody's gotta take the bull by the horns.

Back before it was necessary to have composite to compete in PvP I wore, composite, helm, chest, pants, boots and gloves, all blue. My arms were padded, black underpart, with blue pads, minus the right bicep which had a yellow pad to signal i was leader. It looked cool. I should reinvest in some nice padded arms again.
