not needed to be leader is great, you no longer have to deal with people telling you who to invite, how to set loot etc. You can just play the proffesion.
Yeah! You are no longer the leader! doesn't that just ROXOR! Our new title shall be Squad Goons.
If nothing changes, I am holding strong to my ways, if someone demands that I set loot a certain way I'll kick them. If they demand this or that, again I'll kick them. I'm a bit miffed right now with a lot and a lot having to do with having more than 1 sl in a group. I'm playing a leader not a Squad Goon or Squad Groupie. I chose a position of leadership because that is what I've played in many games. Intentional or not. Somehow I always ended up being Leader. 1 SL per group and you have to be Group Leader to apply buffs. That is the way to fix all the whining and moaning about it. Going back to what it was before this. If you want to group up with me I'm taking lead or you're taking lead and I'm following AS group leader. I've been group leader before following other peoples lead. Just because you're group leader doesn't mean you actually know what's going on. Just because you say you know how to do this or that, doesn't mean you know how to play with others. There's a fine line and if you and anyone else don't like it, tough, get out of my group and don't let the SBD kill ya on the way out. That's my personal opinion and I know a lot of TRUE SQUAD LEADERS will agree with me.

I Think they should make it so some of the SL Abilities work without being leader, but for most you have to be the leader, then it would work for both the people that want SL to be Leader while still having more than 1 SL in the group, Like if there was a Lieutenant and a Sergeant in a Squad, the Lieutenant would be the assigned Leader but the Sergeant would still use their experience in Leadership to benefit the group.
with the upcoming SL revamp you no longer have to be the leader.

i'm not making fun of anyone but, first of all making the SL even that if you don't knowhim is a plobem becuase he plobely don't know whatto do or run off.and the other reason was because if you have 2 SL in the group they can both ues they powers instead the one who is the group leader. and just becuase you are the group leader doesn't make you the leader. it jusat makes you able to invite people.
What seems to bother people here, are the inability of people to work well in a group. And that inability you will find in grinding groups. And I actually don't think that the newsquad leaderchanges are done with grinding groups in mind. When I join a grinding group, I just keep silent, unless there is anything interesting to discuss in the group chat. When I lead a hunt party or anything else with my guild, I act as squad leader. For when I am out with my guild, focus is not on gaining as much xp as possible per second of game time. We go out to have fun together.
And in such a group, there is no problem at all in having more than one squad leader. One takes on the role as leader, the other one is second in command. That is how a military group works in real life, so why shouldn't it be able to do so in the game as well? If the leader gets killed, it must be clear who is going to assume command. And this person must also be a trained leader. Else the group won't work well.
So if you don't like these changes, don't be a squad leader. Or rather, try to find a group of people who will follow your lead.
And remember - Lead by example.
The Dream Team
- Group Leader (Squadleader/carbineer)
- Second in Command (Squadleader/carbineer)
- Medic (Combat Medic/carbineer)
- Sniper (Rifleman/Ranger)
- Heavy Weapons (Commando)
- Soldier (Carbineer)
- Soldier (Carbineer)
- Soldier (Carbineer)
All should at least be Novice Medics, to be able to heal one another in times of need.
