Master Squad Leader/Master Rifleman
Add some medic skills in there and you have yourself a very good template. Very high damage output (it's Rifleman, duh), plus you're a Squad Leader. Do it. Now.

For the longest time, ive wanted to go Squad Leader. Since im in a PvP guild, i know the in's and out's of things.
I really want to get Squad Leader to be difference in battle. Its always seemed like a cool profession, but not sure what my template should be. I kind of want to get CM with it, so i can the uber support- Use SL skills and abilities, and toss poisons and area heals/cures.
But then again, i want to have a combat profession that can dish out damage so i can go do cash missions and such. So, what do yal think i should do?
I was thinking about MSL and Master Rifleman with Master Marksman. With that, i get the MSL abilites, and almost speed capped with rifleman. But i also want to RP a SL. Like maybe get Master Fencer with something else and ride in on a Dewback.
Any idea's?

You would be a fool not to go MSL/ MaterRifleman, otherwise you could go for total team support and go MSL/Master Carbineer
ButDONT go MSL/ CM or MSL/Ranger...tried both and you suck at everything! except running up hills fast and throwing poo while shouting :/

A template I enjoy is Master Rifleman, 3044 SL, 0040 ranger. I got it primarily ot hunt mobs for my alts jedi knight trials and tracking down nightsister elders/krayts, but have since also harvested plenty of meats.
Was more fun than I had thought to play this char. Very versatile.
I was Master squadleader/rifles at first and may go back to it later, at this point in time the tracking line of ranger is more worth it for me.
I'm speedcapped through attachments.

I enjoy MSL/MBH but doing so leaves you 4 skill points that can only be used on hunting 1 and trapping 1 or some of those new fangled force sensitive skill trees I've been reading about in Newsweek.

MSL/M.Carbineer.
You won't be the PvP God that you would be with Rifles, but you'll hold up in PvE just as well, and your friends will love your Area KD/Area Dizzy in group PvP encounters more than another toon spamming HeadShot3. At least I would. These days I'd much rather have someone sticking Dizzies all around than someone who can just do more raw damage. Even a Pistoleer can land a DB when his Carbineer friend has Full Auto Singled his opponent, and he can land a Pistol Whip for a KD/Dizzy effect. Stopping Shot while you're on your back is muy, muy ouchies!
As a Pistoleer myself, I'd LOVE to fight alongside a Master Carbineer, Master Squad Leader, Medic 3040.

i just thought about the following template:
BH 3000 (obvious)
M Rifle
M Marksman
Scout 4004
SL 4044
not as effective as a MSL but good boni and with BH you fill 2 roles in base slicing
and you end up with rifle Speed +95
+90 TN when grouped
+25 ranged and melee defense when grouped
any suggestions?

Does anybody play SL with a master in a melee proffesion? I'm thinking about going TKM/SL with medic 1200
My other consideration was carbineer for the state effects but I'm not too sure, im not a great fan of ranged proffesions. I also thought about pikeman for AoE state attacks at melee range.

Problem with being a TKM/SL is that Dizzy effects are much more prevalent in Melee combat than in Ranged. If you get Dizzied, you can't use Form Up to clear it on anyone, and I think that's why most people avoid melee.
