Who plays a SL as a main Character? Why?What did you expect it to be like?

Well I play on two servers and have 2 accounts.
On Server 1: My main is a MBH/MSL I am a guild leader and enjoy leadring. Alt was initially to be mayor of a city, but now is working towards TKM/Smuggler/Pistoleer
On Server 2: the main is an architect/musician, but I play on the Alt more who is an SL/carbineer.
I like leading and calling targets and helping others.

My main is an SL. She has been forever and I picked up as a Guild Leader to help my guild. I love the abilities I grant to others and have never thought I gimped myself because of it. Most of the time I just spend wondering why people think being a SL makes them less effective. (points at her pvp rating of 1740)

i have a SL and i do it for the PvP groups and because its fun to put messages on peoples screen.

I chose Squad Leader from the very begining.
My original template involved ranger and pistoleer (remember the days of spamable pistol whips?) just to get me where I wanted to go. As I progressed up the Squad Leader line I dropped Ranger.
My original live toon has never dropped below Novice SL since launch and I never plan to. Nor have any of my other SL chars...
I came into this game a SL I will leave it as a SL.

I went scout and saw Squad Leading after my friend who was also a scout became a creature handler. Originally was a master scout, ranger, sl template with pistols I have evolved into a carbineer/sl with a bit of BH. I intend to go master marksman, master carbineer, master squad leader and 4 skills in force ranged weapon speed when the CU comes.
I have since july 03 never dropped SL, the lowest i've been after I hit master was 0 0 4 4. I remember those revamp changes coming, I did like a lot of those ideas and wish they could have been implemented. I'm hoping for future SLs have more tools for communication and mobility, new skills that are kinda like tactics like rally.

I was a year and a half ago and picked it up again. I'm a group oriented player and it fit into my RP and style of play. My hope was that I could provide a "Force Multiplier" role where I'd make everyone I'm grouped with more effective in combat. I dropped it the first time because nobody grouped so there was no group to force multiply. I had hopped with the CURB this would change.

i play a SL, Pikeman main and i like it, i wanna see what the CU brings before i make any changes. my guild PvP's alot and we do quite alot of krayt hunts i play as more of a support char i stay back a bit do the Sl spams to keep dizzy off, steady aim on etc i if i get aggrod or targeted in pvp i can handle it with a decent pike KD dizzy and whack away while screaming eak fudge HELPPPPPPPPPP!
i rely on my group to help me and they rely on me to help them its a good proffesion to have and comes in very handy especially in pvp those bonuses mean alot.

Well my official main is a Jedi now. My Alt that I play the most is a commando/SL which I was hoping to be able to master both now in the CU the problem I'm having is they don't seem to be doing anything for the SL proffession I'm not even sure if they know there are people in the forum down here as we never here from devs. The have been answering questions all over the place in teh armorsmith forums, commando and so on but not down here. You see the patch notes and you here chnages made here and there bugs being looked at but our concerns... you hear nothing about. If the SL remains in its current CU shape I will be forced to leave the proffession which will be a sad day indeed.

I play a SL, because when I´m on I´m always in a group (with my fiancee) and it adds a little emersion to the game.
