I am happy to listen this!

I am a person who likes better quality then quantity.

I prefer 100 good, awesome, powerfull trustworthy SL then 10,000 **edit**in assh0les,windmind and looserthat do not know how to lead, make a organized, clean, fun and cool party for hunts, quests and RP.

The dev's do not see HOW IMPORTANT our profession is.

They MUST think more about us, becasue depend on US to make the game more attractive for every1

Allways as SL i try to keep the group organized directing orders and saying what ppl must do.

This is a hard work, but i prefer I make a mistake otherwise some1 make the mistake and I think "Sh1t, Why didnt I get the leadership, this mess didn't happen!".

But I am man enough to say "Sorry dudes my mistake, do u want that i continue in the leadership?"

Making this the gameplayis better, every1 enjoy the hunt, good combats, fair xp split, fun, and discipline.

This is not hard to doo just try to make a guideline and give the directions.

Like:

1-Range check to see who has the closest mission, direct this person to lead he group avoiding AGGROS

2-Getting ready for the combat almost close to the lair(about 60m from the wp)

3-Call the target

4-Call the healer's attention to the incaped/lowHAM group members

5-Go back to 3 until the MOBS are killed

6-Direct ur group to Hold their fire to U pop/milk the lair(Be strong here, warn ppl to do not attack the lair meanwhile u r doing this becasue otherwise a mess will get place!and if some1 is not following this direction kick him, he will fucq ur leadership, I am serious here, do not be affraid, KICK HIM)

7-Attack the mobs that poped up

8-Milk the lair at least 2 times

9-Direct ppl to attack the lair but warn them to IF A MOB POP, stop attacking the lair and direct the fire for the poped mob!.

10-Go back to 1

Maybe I am missing something here but this is the essential to be a average SL.

But whit this actions I always receive this commentaries

"I love squad leaders"

"Good job!"

"Hey! U r a great SL dude!"

"Can I add u in my friend list?"

"Sup!, r u making a hunt group? Can I join?, I am asking because u r a SL!"

And because all this commentaries I am proud to be one of the most exciting profession in the game.

As SL we have the power to direct 19 ppl to death or to the victory, and I can insure u, it worth every sl xp.

Wewere made to lead.

I agree with your whole post I just find it funny that you don't nee the SL profession to do any of those things. Hopefully there are enhancements on the way that make actually putting skill points into SL woth something more than the title and /sys

True, thats one of the main reasons why SL's need lots of other abilities.

But I agree with Calil. I try to do most of what he listed above and more. Lately ive been becoming a bit tyranical with group management, i've reached my limit on leading a group of 10 people, 8 of which do work as a group and then the 2 idjits that dont. I stopped trying to teach them and I just warn them twice then boot their arses out of the group.

Results have been excellent. Inmediately after I boot the dirtbags off the group, I usually get a few comments of 'you didnt have to be so harsh' or ' you could just have told them...' yada yada yada..

but on the very next nest we go to, as the group actually works as an organized unit, and we wheeze through XP and cash and no one gets hurt, the comments fly ' oh man this is so much better without those dudes' and such.

Also interesting to note is that whenever I log onto my char, who logs in dathomir trade port, he almost inmediately gets invites to groups or I get comments ' Hey, a Squad Leader! Make a group!' . sometimes before my pc even finishes loading the objects in the screen.

Its a fun profession, but we really need a lot more leadership tools.

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'

I agree, only bearing the SL title make people trust in you

they know you won't let them down

As I alway say, I'm the first in, and the last out ( or the first in an emergency shuttle)

Want to hear about the old Kudaark? huh?
Vangeance he seeks from those who took away his Loved One
But never an innocent or a helpless one will he harm
For he is a Protector, fearsome and fearless in battle
In the name of Freedom he sways his Justice
The Purifying Flame burns within him, a Kuun-Lan, he is...

I agree with u too

U dont need be a sl to do things like that

But i told once that the best skill for SL is working and it is /SYSGROUP

U can make this job not being a SL but with this command make ur job muuuuuuuuuch more easy then u start /shout or using the group message.

I agree with the above, I do like SL being uncommon. I think because we are "relatively underpowered" (relative to the firepower we can bring to a group thru our own gun skills and [lack] of really effective offensive group buffs) that our class typically draws, and retains, mostly people that are less likely to simply want to maximize their chars +/- wise than theyare to wantto play an effectiverole on a team. SL's not for everyone, and I like that, I just hope other people are recoginzing the power tradeoffs we're making to pursue these roles and continue to find value in that and us.

Thanks,

You are all right here, at this point in time, we are almost as rare as the Jedi it seems . This profession requires a lot of patience, organization and good direction, the average player is turned off by this, putting us in the top 5 least picked professions. Since 3/4 of the galaxies are flooded with BH and now Commandos, i'm glad to stand out amongst the crowd. I get a kick when ppl say "You're a Field Commander, wow how do u become that?", makes me laugh everytime.

"4-Call the healer's attention to the incaped/lowHAM group members"

This is the only thing I dissagree with. In my experience, medics hate this with a passion, though all the medics I work with on a regular basis are uber.

Let the medics concern themselves with healing. It is their job, and they know it better than you and me. If they aren't doing their job, send them a /tell, and eventually boot. Don't put up with slackers.

I enjoy this profession for what it is. How it is. Enough of the specials work for me. They work well wnough that I have no complaints. Im happy that so many people don't like it makes it more attractive to me. I like th e idea that the profession I have is very rare regarless of the fact that it is not considered the best. I like to roleplay and as a SL it increases my ability to stay in character as im naturaly very authoritative. Though im also ulteristic. Many a times I have purposely pulled a mob of a group mate knowing it would lead to my death. But thats what I like to do i enjoy helping others in the game. It is the same reason why I offer every newb I see some cash and with that also encourage them to when it comes time for them to choose a side to help the rebelion. Basicly SL is the best profession for me right now cause it serves my need to help others in the game.

Has anyone thought of this?....maybe the devs took this into consideration before they released the game and UBERnerfed squadleader so noone would take the profession, especially not the UBERdorkdoesn'tdoanythingbutplaystarwarsgalaxies130hrs/weeklittlekids, except those that are serious about leading groups of people and having fun doing it not for themselves but for the greater good of the group. And then some time after the release when the UBERdorks...kids are tired of the game or too hung up in there UBERicankillanythingthatmovesallbymyselfwithmy18rancorsandatsts character, they'll make squadleader an even more rewarding class. Right now i know squadleader is underpowered and it gives you very few benefits at all, but i'm doing it because i enjoy leading groups and having a good time doing it, and people know that when they see squadleader above your name that your serious about what you do, because if you were just out there to be the UBERestofUBERs then you wouldn't be a squadleader.

Yah dudes this is the spirit

Lets complain less and work more what we have in hands now!

Waht I can say more?

There is not a way to the SL profession become worst!

Everything that the DEV's will do, will be to improve our profession.

I heard about the new combat system where the group leader can assign a icon over his target head, an icon that every group members can see!.

I saw this post in the board where we can just post replies and cant create new ones.

I votes to this feature be ascessible only to SL!!

There is nothing more perfect then U caa make an icon over the head of ur target!!!!!

I think this feature can be added to volleyfire!

This would be perfect!

Imagine that!

U direct ur group to volleyfire and then, the entire group give 1 shot to ur target. then the icon is assigned to ur target like a arrow pointing at the mob (Like those npc's taht hav a little blue ballon over it s head it a exclamation in it but for this woul be a red ballon with a arrow pointing to the griund).

After this the group members can be propted to change his target to the iconed target or remain firing to his previous target!

This could be great!!

And I would like to thanks about all commentarties about my post

I just want to unit the SL, becoming us a profession that every player that enter in a group where 1 of us is leading say:

"Thaks God we have a SL leading our hunt!"

This board is the place where we can exchange experience, macros, tatics, ideas and more!!

Keep it coming!

And after all:

We were made to lead!
