I just made it to novice SL and was just filled with joy when I found that the only thing my hard work got me was the ability to spam in the middle of the screen instead of the chat box...

Are you trying to have a meaningful conversation here? or just being a waste of server space?

Suggestion: Engage your brain and actually learn to use the /sys command. If you are unable to do this there are plenty of macros posted on the forums for you to try. If you don't like being a SL don't and go whine on someone else's board.

I've been wanting to be a SL for a while now and when I finialy become one I find out it is totaly broken, I'm just voicing my opinion on the fact that novice SL gives you almost nothing.

Then voice your opinion like an adult, or like someone that has something constructive to say. Not like a 5 year old. <A new piece of crap.. Err SL on the block> your title is even immature. Grow up if you're going to post things here

If you think your a piece of crap, that's fine. keep it to yourself. I for one don't. while the skills are not the greatest, I use my SL abilities for more RPG. I enjoy grouping, and at some point, they will fix it. So, wither take another profession, or stop whining about it.

Let's be realistic here. The SL skills are extremely poor compared to the time and skill point investment. RP ing a SL well and directing and organizing a group well really has *very little* to do with the actual profession. /sysgroup is useful, but could easily be replaced with a colored /alias macro. The profession does not do much to help a group. The player playing it does. He could be doing just as well being some other profession. In fact, he'd probably be more useful if he was (and still organized hunts and raids proper).

The Squad Leader gameplay mechanics are pathetic. There's no two ways about it. And that's largely what these forums are about... discussing the mechanics. These folks aren't really that off. We stink as a game profession (especially compared to any other combat/support profession). How muchhelp we are to a group has very little to do with the in-game skills we have, but much more on our own personal skills as leaders, communicators, and organizers.

Even the most accomplished Squad Leader, along with the ones here by choice for a long, long time... would mostly agree.

To true...

I won't quit. I am strong. I am usefull to my squad. This defines my style, not enhances it. I don't need uber skills to be uber. They will fix us eventually. They will fix us. They will fix us...

Personally, I prefer groupchat (because it's blue) to default /sysgroup because /sys is hard to read against a white sky.

The best use of /sys is to type in messages like "You have entered Theed" right as you're approaching town to annoy members of your group.
