I wasn't even going to go into that. That is true, an evenmore accurate test would be to use a generic attack like headshot for rifleman, something that would commonly be used in PvP.

Sl buffs should not apply to SMuggler's Last Ditch attack. Sniper shot plus SL buffs were deemed unbalancing. So should Last Ditch + SL buffs.

Wow, LoLI never said this was an accurate test, I never said I meant this to be a real test, and yet i'm getting flamed...It was just for fun, to see how high we could get the damage, please lighten up.

BTW, I'm sure it would be easy to hit 5k with Level 80, with armor. I'll test it a bit later. Please calm down, of course I know we wont be PvPing in these circumstances, it was just for fun, and I decided to share my fun with the SL community.

I had it last night. I used to get hit with 300-400 points of damage in pvp from the same rifleman now with your idiotic buffs, that same guy hits me for 900-1100 points. That is with me lvl 80, mac ranged defense, and 7k energy resists armor. He was using a energy rifle too.

Duels or real PvP? In arranged duels it can be reproduced, in real duels you usually already don't have the time to pull the stunt, in actual PvP you have too much fire in the area, having these numbers happen is close to impossible.

Yea, we had a PvP skirmish in Theed. 4-5 of my group were attacking a single target that I had put called shot on, a Jedi. We weren't posting these ridiculous numbers, and these were not newbs I was grouped with, they knew what they were doing. We ended up losing the skirmish, in fact, when another Jedi and 2 non-FS came into the fight.

I dont consider dueling to be PVP. PVP is real player vs player combat...not a dance that dueling is.

That is what I am seeing. In a staged, set, controled enviroment, there are issues. In the "real" game world, they aren't happening. Heck, I evne gave a couple SL buffs to jedi being attacked by BHs, and they BH with no buffs still beat them down like the buffs weren't even there.

Well I have found that the defense buffs seem to do nothing, I had two group members duel without buffs and he was hitting for 400-700 damage. I put a defense buff on one and he was still getting hit for that same 400-700 damage.

I want to thank everyone who is showing that in REAL everyday game situations these absurd numbers just don't happen. Though I am lead to believe by my own testing that the defense buffs have been broken.

hmm then we need to get the devs on it right away . That is the other side of the coin.

Check Sylow's Organized Testing thread. Tactics is working, Calls to Arms is partially broken as the buff will stack with Innate Armor but not worn Armor. Not sure on Toughen.

After putting called shot on someone, the damage increases by about 123%. So, you do about 2.2x the damage you would usually do to a player.IMO, that is a bit unbalenced.
