We do NOTHING, right now. Your hurting SL's becuase it doesn't make SENSE in a galaxy where people have 4 x 50ft 5 tone animals in there pocket.

1. No. Pets and droids aren't directed using the skills we associate with a Squad Leader. Droids are programmed to follow, and CH pets are controlled using CH type skills. Furthermore, allowing CH and Pets to give Squad Leader XP would allow CH Squad Leaders to rise the fastest... which makes no sense at all from a gameplay, context, and design perspective.

Sentient faction pets like storm troopers and rebel grunts, however, maybe (at a reduced rate?). They're also not guaranteed to be around all the time due to having to build up faction points and permadeath. So I could see it working here.

2. No. Most of the Squad Leader's skills are group based. They'd be mostly useless alone anyway. And it doesn't make much sense for a Squad Leader to give himself a pep talk and become more powerful as a result.

3. Yes. But most characters can solo to some degree anyway, if they have decent weapons skills. So I'm not exactly sure what this question has to do with Squad Leaders specifically.
