All my opinions and views on the class can be sumed up rather nicely in thisthread I've been bravely trying to keep at the top of the main discussion board. My latest post addresses the issues of SL experience, and how I feel that the current system is flawed...

I was very impressed by your proposal. I t was well written. My only suggestion is to make the Quotations a different color or text size from the rest of the text. There were points during that middle section where I couldn't tell if I was reading quotes or essay.
I also thought it was a bit dissorienting that the opinions sort of blended together. What I mean to say is, you begin with opinions that argue against the DEV's suggestionsand conclude with quotes that seem to support them. Somewhere in the middle it switches. Maybe, divide the opinions with a line or something.
I also want to add that I just don't understand why everyone on this forum get so angry at each other. Lighten up! I, for one, enjoy being a squad leader.I just don't bother using any of the skills. ![]()

I think there are a lot of great ideas in the report.
Passive Bonuses
Doh.
Sorry about that. What I wanted to say is that I am all for the idea of having passive bonuses.
I would also like to see some kind of mind healing skill, not too powerful though, we are not entertainers, but we should be able to encourage our men, keep their spirit up etc.
About pets and xp, I think your own pets should count for xp calculation, while other players pets should not. (Possibly include factional troopers in the xp calculations, but definately not beasts as they are trained to follow their masters orders).
Formations and Offensive/Defensive Stances should perhaps be combined?
Squad Leaders should be able to give orders which should be followed, but forcing people is not a good idea. Instead of forcing we could have a system that reward players who follow the orders and have a negative effect for those whodo not follow orders.
I'd also like to say that I think the current skills are theoretically pretty good, and if they all worked as intended we would just need some additional abilities to flesh it out a bit,some more powerful abilitiesfor the higher skill levels perhaps.
