Don't expect redname posts in here except to handle special issues. That's really what the Correspondent is for, you pass your ideas and issues to me...I give them to Thunderheart, Thunderheart gives them to the devs. It goes the other direction as well.

The initial dev response to our Top 5 should be coming any minute now, but I won't be able to report specifics until they are approved for releaselater... I *will* keep you all up to date as soon as I can, howeverr.

When the DEVs give us, the SL community, a concrete response I will stop bumping this thread. It matters not to me whether that response comes as a red name here, or as told through you.

I want a response to our issues. God knows that we have enough issues that the Devs could respond to at leas a fiew of them.

I was a little ticked off when I wrote my last post, the point I was trying to make is not a slam on TH, I truly believe that he and the "red names" are working really hard to make SWGthe bestgame. The point isit would make everyone who is a SL feel like someone was looking in to our problems and ideas. I think it would go along way for the SL community.

Thulium, i disagree with you that we should expect Devs to post here. TH post in many other professions forums on substantive issues. Why then should we not expect him to post here? I agree with you to the extent that his not likely to post here, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't post here. I think we have a right to expect as much (if not more since we are broken)attention as any other profession.

Please do not apologize for TH. I think overall hehas done a goodjob, but he has really let the Sqaud Leaders down. One part of yourjobis to advocatefor attention toour profession. Saying he has a lot to do, doesn't further our goal.

As far as Im concerned the correspondent program, from an SL perspective, has been a total failure and has made DEV-squad leadercommunications worse. Creating the program, implicity promises that there will actually be communication. SL in turn come to expect the communication that was promised. When, the DEVs don't uphold their end of the bargain, squad leaders end up being more frustrated than before. Just so I am clear, Im not suggesting that the failure of the correspondent program is caused by Capt V. or Thullium.

Does anyone else find it a little insulting that yet another 2-page post from Thunderheart detailing all the upcoming changes, and not a single mention of us?

He at least said the word "Chef", even though he didn't say anything about them.

Thulium, I don't know if that was addressed to me, but either way:

OB1,just so you know....I've been sticking my nose and the keywords "Squad Leader" into as many Correspondent forum threads as I appropriately can. One of those, just received a response that mighthelp you feel better about things, I just have to wait for permission to post it here.

Well, it finally happened!

After some aggravation with Lithium trying to get a properly formatted reply, I just posted myfeedback to the first round of Developer responses to Squad Leader's Top 5!! Yes, that's right...I've seen Dev responses. I'm hoping to get authorization to publish responses here by next week!

I know everyone is getting sick of hearing "Be patient, great things are coming down the pipeline...blah blah blah"so I won't say that, but simply getting this first round of Dev feedback is a big step, and I believe its the first of many. Since we all know that this profession couldn't be much worse,I think it's safe to say that things are looking up!

Thulium that is encouraging. Congrats on getting a response, even if it is a secret one.

However, I remember Capt. V, saying there were positive things on the correspodent forum for us, but he just couldn't publish them. Apparently, they never gave him access. Its not that I doubt you or Capt. V, but given the Dev's track record with us, I don't have much faith in these secret responses.

I know you aren't allowed to give us any specifics, but if the Dev response were published today, would we be happy with it? Are they reacting positively to our ideas or is there responsemore like Holo's post that proposed abunch things we didn't want?

Anything thing you can tell us would be appreciated.

Yes, I think you would be happy with it. Keep in mind, however, that this is only our "top 5" issues so don't be thinking that this means we'll be in perfect condition come next week. It does mean that certain things are likely to be changing soon, and more changes are not too far away.

The bigger question is: Would you be satisfied with it? I'm hoping so, at least in the short term...In the long term, however, there's a lot of work to be done.
