Thread: SQL + BH? Can someone explain please...
What you are not understanding (in your response to MsNil) is that the BH specific guilds (or just guilds with lots of bhs) are going to start grouping their MSLs like crazy to one shot any jedi they want.
The rest of the passage is irrelevant, because what you refer to is called shot. You now have to understand, the called shot is an attack. So, if a BH comes for a Jedi, the BH himself has to be MSL to be able to pull the stunt you described. "Unfortunately" the BH can't be MBH, MSL and still MRifle, which is necessary for the described attack.
I know that the group buffs are still badly unbalanced and highly exploitable. We right from the start voiced our concerns about those group buffs and balance, but nothing has been done about them yet, not even the most apparent bugs were fixed. The discussion where all Jedi and BHs now go crazy about is Called Shot, though. And while it is true that the ability was not too bad, for the BH-Jedi scenario it is of no relevance... the increase of damage is offset by the fact that it only enhances one single attack (although i consider that a bug, the complete team should get enhanced for one shot) and the BH has to master SL to be able to really use it in the described way.
I have had MBH M Carbineer SL xxx4 Medic xx2x for a bit. I am going to add x4xx and see how I like it.
It's sad SL hasn't even had the love yet and people are beating it down.
TorsoShot+CriticalShot is the same thing. Only takes a second or two longer to execute.

Sorry, according to the swgwiki, this information is wrong. Advanced CriticalShot is at 1.9 multiplier, TorsoShot is at 2.0 multiplier. Both of those fall pretty short, compared to the 3.4 multiplier of advanced sniper shot, though. The last one is located in MRifle.
There is no way for a BH hunting a mark to get to more than 58% of the damage the people got so shocked about. Would this information have been passed on right away, that this was purely hypothetical testing and there is no way that this could ever happen in the normal BH-Jedi kickaround, the reaction would have been quite different, i think or at least hope.
Things look very different in the GCW, where the combination might very well happen occasionally, after all the MSL/MRifle is a valid combination and you are not requierd to push skillpoints into the BH to be able to participate there. Due to the nature of masses on both sides, i consider this to happen very rarely, though. My worries that the ability could be too strong were gone after finding out that it currently only affects a single attack and not (as first assumed) the first attack of everybody in team.
Now i rather think that the "balance pendulum" swung a bit too far in the opposite direction and if group buffs are not reworked before the crowds learn on how easily they can be exploited for their needs, i very much fear that they will soon get thesame treatment. ![]()

No, there is one shot killing going on in TC against Jedi and other professions from MBH/SL combos, we were told to come here for answers. In TC, it's possible to do over 7k in a single shot.

In TC-2 there is also a MBH rifle with over 1200 max damage before pup, as well as a number of bugs available for exploit. when you say "possible to do over 7k in a single shot" i hope you remember that that's before armor, under circumstances where bugs allowed buffs to function in a way which made them better than they ought to be. Additionally this was before called shot was toned down, and onONE single string of attacks (sl buffs+adv aim+adv snipershot). I have yet to hear the screams from professions other than Jedi and BH, as most of them seem to have taken a more reasonable approach to these issues.
Please read the posts and threads already set up which have been addressing these issues.
Thank you and please come to our forums better informed next time.
