Thread: CU: Squad Leader Bugs and Issues

I am pretty sure the reason we are not hearing from the devs much is that they are scrambling to get all this work done. There are countless bugs being sent in all the time and then they have to deal with all the issues that we are bringing up (such as the flawed con/level system).

We are running short on time and its more efficient for them to gather info and deal with it instead of replying.

That doesnt mean I don't want info just like all of you, I just don't expect it. :/

What should have happened is they delay the CU and allow more testing but good old marketing will mess this game up again if they don't do it right. This is a repeat of what happened in june 2003, beta was still too early to be going gold but they did it anyway and thought they would fix the system as they went on. The most retarded design goals, why repeat the same mistake twice? This time though it could possibly spell the end of SWG and the end of the SOE and LA relationship.

Are they repeating the same mistake twice? I'm starting to think that SOE SWG has had such a high turnover on Devs that they are making the same mistake for the first time, cause they don't remember the first time... or maybe they just been out drinking too much in the last couple years and forgot. Either way, we're looking doomed at the moment.

Please don't give up hope yet. I'm also really frustrated with the state of SL on TC. I think this thread is a great summary of the current issues. I hope the devs are reading this thread and listening to our 3 blue glowies. (Thanks irott, DiLune and Ackehece for your advocacy.)


One issue I didn't see explicitlymentioned is that MSL gets a combat level of 54 with basically only overcharge shot. Obviously you should combine MSL with an elite combat prof but currently on the TC it's best to grind out the elite combat prof before even starting SL so you can kill things on the same level. And that's true even if the pistol xp is changed to SL/combat xp.

One good thing is if the CU goes out like on TC now, SL will be so broken that we might get our revamp sooner. Sorry that's the best I can do.

If you evered played WOW as a hunter you would love this feature. I am not trying to get into SWG vs WOW debate but I thought that SL could really use this feature in SWG. For those who don't know in WOW it was called hunters mark and it place a HUGE RED ARROW above your targets head that everyone could see. It was very handy in PvP and group tatcis.

Sorry I was unable to cause the thread was deleted when I tried. I hope we can drill into the devs brains that there is massive bugs with SL right now, I dont' think they are intending our skills to bel ike what they are now on TC but I also think we'll be waiting past may 5th before we get any attention .
