Thread: SL XP : PLEASE READ!
"SL = SC * 2P"
That formula is EXACTLY what is was!
Squad Leader XP = CombatXP * (# in group * 2).
Combat exp is 1/10 of weaponXP and, under the old system, your squad leader XP would match your weapon exp when you had a group of 5 (you + 4 others).
I agree with Novamarine's assessment 100%. This exactly represents my experience with the old and new SL XP systems.

Seeming im probly a lower lvl SL and i wasnt one when the old formula was in.
But in my view i would think that pets should get at least alittle count in the overall xp maybe go off the level of the pets that are in a group say you have a lvl 30 gaurl and a lvl 25 GSP maybe avarage.
Also i think a SL that contrubute to the action should get something for fighting with the group, this would award them for being in the action, this also means having the /sysgroup thing in just alittle,
Also i belive that SL is a profession that needs outside help to work, this means that yes you should get better xp for have real ppl in the group over having you CH pets on the group. Thats what SL looks to be made for..leading real ppl into battle.
They can keep the xp very hard to get. But the payoff should be in alot better skills that are more "stackable". For example doing 2 rallies would stack. or more then one steady aim.And if thats too much do a more personal focused commands. Like click on and ally then a squad leader can excecute steady aim-like commands that are stackable with the group commandsbut target one individual or can even be defensive take cover commands. And maybe even let us earn xp much like a medic gets it from doing enhance buffs. Let us get xp for doing commands on people.
This might sound like a nerf but imagine you didn't get the group rally till alot later down the tree. what you start off with is a rallysingle. You would basicly have to do rally on each person in your group. You would get xp right off the bat for doing it. And perhaps it only allows you to get xp in a state of combat. It would still fail like the rally we have but it would take its toll on our mind much like when using a stimp pack. Maybe along the tree you would get a stronger rallysingle then finally the group one. Also these are stackable. And might be closer to real life where a squad leader would prob dog-out the worst of his soldier to balance it out.
The form up special i think belongs to medics. But a squad leader should be able to defend you from the effects of a taunt, intimidate, or fear. Things that are not illnesses that leadership snap people out of. And along the line they can get more melee type buff charge commands againt kinda following the ralliesthere could be a chargesingle, down to a group charge.
Steady aim, you should get the picture, will have single buff, the group one, then the volleys.
Mobility should be able to maybe allow you to give a burst run to a single target at a price of the leaders mind ham.
Even if the a squad leader had all these skills and used every buff on a marksman it wont guarantee at all the survival of a marksman vs a bounty hunter.
Even if you want we can make up a system of where a squadleader needs to use a resource to do these things like a "radio box" that has a set amount of uses they would be our stimpack equivelents.
yeah Util, we'd all love for our skills to be worth this much of an xp grind (it was bad in the first place, but now it's worse), but the sad truth is, the devs will NOT be addressing our skills and abilities for a while due to cities/mounts. So... the only quick "fix" that's possible at the moment is a change to our horrid newXP calculation.
Isn't it just sad that all we're asking for atm is to be put into the same sorry state we were in BEFORE the accidental nerf? At least back then we could ADVANCE in this worthless class...
Yes the Xp was quite low but it's a little better now. I was getting like 300xp now I'm getting more but to get 2000xp or so but I need to have a group of 20(this was after the patch).
That is not always possible, so I'll have a lot of trips to Dathomir ahead of me
