What makes your better then mine? All you really offer are forts, more stacked defenses and essentially shuttle drops.

Shuttle drops are cool, but I would bet 1 million credits we would not get them, too many complications involved. Anmd fortresses have no purpose right now is SWG, only faction bases to a degree.

Your thread also is very vague about the defense and attack mods given to the group. Mine are powerful yet balanced.

I gave tools that give the squad leader better control of his group and bonuses to improve performance.

First of all i was vague on numbers because there wasnt any community decision on what kind of numbers would be fair or unfair for different bonuses we just new we needed more so that was meant to come out in the rest of the thread which is somewhat did but not really. Second the trees i compiled from all the other threads were stuffed full of useful tools and skills especially later in that thread when the community started digging into it. Maliek had a lot of good stuff too. Also if you cant control your group under the current system thats not reason to waste skillboxes and branches on a system of new colors for things. Honestly i lead guild groups half the time and i use teamspeak so the only in game stuff ends up being SL command spam. If the group happens to be outsiders i have no problem keeping them inline using groupchat sysgroup and spatial. If random people i pick up to hunt with arent acting in line i kick them and they end up dying out in the field. That way they learn a valuable lesson. (not to group with me...jk:smileywink

I use TS and groupchat, my guildmates all agree nothing would be better then to habve multiple group waypoints and paint target.

well then i guess your guild isnt as tightly trained as our PvP unit. I mention an enemy's name on Teamspeak and the whole group knows who he is, where he is, and is attacking him within one queue turn. I guess color waypoints would be good for people to lazy to make a waypoint or for people who dont pay attention when they are told where the waypoint is either way you saw in my map that SL waypoints were there.

What color do you want them in? Fuscia? Lavendar? Hot Pink? is that good?

well since jedis started running around my server we dont have those large scale battles anymore. People are either afraid or dont feel like wasting time to just get raped by a jedi. Seeing as my guild is usually on the attack no we dont have anywhere for people to stay for healing stations and on my server too much pvp is being done in cities and not out in the open anymore also because of jedis and the lack of large opposing groups to meet out in the field. My group has not problem getting around with ease, we dont need to have a fuscia waypoint to know to go there or where to meet especially when i dont even have to use groupchat to speak to them.

The truth is alot of your suggestions are already possibilities where as the rest of the community has been working on new innovative ideas that would do a lot more than change the color of a waypoint.

Different color waypoints are only a recent addon to my group WP idea.

i like strudle's idea with the abilitie change's and the idea of a fort is good but why have a fort if your nutural? instead a faction base placed by a sl shold have increased def's, harder 2 hit, and if its not 2 uber increase respawn time by 15% or somthing based per tear or even MSL. just throwin out ideas

forts for neutral players would be very valuable in pve groups. Not so much the forts that only provide ranged defense like a trench but a fort like a bunker which could provide melee defense or something like that. There is also a sort of group shield generator idea going on that might be a little bit more accepted than forts (although it loses a lot of the immersive factor). Either way though the forts would provide the same defenses to a neutral group doing some hunting as it would to a group of imps fighting some rebs.

one thing i might point out to you.

A shaded off camp that provides melee and ranged defense is useless for pvp and will make little difference.

But from the looks of it, you dont have the kind of pvp we have on Bria...

yeah pvp has definitely changed on starsider. Jedi has scared a lot of the population into permanent covert status. I occansionally go out with some guild guys but we can never get together huge groups or find huge groups to fight. Most pvp consist of me and a couple guildies trying to fight off the frs jedi that jump us as soon as we say bye to our recruiters.

Well ranged defense and melee defense modifiers dont work as intended but that will all change after the rebalance and since we come after the balance it could make a huge difference. Maybe we should add defenses vs. different states when they make sense.

Truth is we probably have to wait until after the balance to really layout our profession because the things that players will need support for from us will be different.

how sad, jedi are a nuisance to pvp on Bria, but we still have an active war
