What are the new requirements for Commando? No longer master Marks? I know pre-CU, when Commando could do something as a profession on its own, it wasn't possible to master both. But with the prerequisites having changed up, it may now be possible, if impractical.

And ignore the spelling.

Brawler 4000 and Marksman 0004 it is, as far as i remember.

Ok, then it is possible to master SL and Commando, it was only short a couple of points pre-CU. But, as someone else pointed out, not very practical.

Could make for an interesting support character if one (gasp!) dabbled in SL. Took, say, 2 or 3 branches in full, then took 2-3 in Commando, and a full dose of Rifle or Carbine.

Wouldn't be me though. I didn't keep MSL all this time to dabble after the revamp. :-)

I appreciate all the input. I think the best advice was just to have fun. Being in teh Marines Squad Leader was right up my ally. Now when you say crowd control, what exactly do you mean by that?

Crowd control would be specials that can limit the enemy. Roots (no move), snares (slowed movement), delays (delay until next action), paralyze (no actions), etc. A crowd control profession is normally not a high damage profession.

Best balance of damage and crowd control, in my opinion, is carbineer. I know others really like pistoleer though, especially MSL's getting the Intimidator pistol.

Yea, just have fun is the best advice. :-) That's what you're in the game for (I hope).
