4 in one day is rough! You know, the thing that I really don't understand is why the heck don't they just use NPC towns, like the mining or pirate outposts on Dantooine? No need to spend time and credits on the shuttle, no risk of being banned by annoyed player city militia, etc. Seems very odd to me.

I think cities that have an "Improved Job Market" give out more money for the missions, don't they? Maybe that's the cities that they're running missions from.
Also... can't Smugglers still slice a terminal to get a higher payout, too?

Most player cities have a clear LOS from the edge of the city to the terminals. Most NPC cities have the terminals buried into the city so you have a lot of sharp turns that afk alts get stuck on and dragged out. The NPC cities that do have easier terms to get to are more or less out of the way from normal travel and these guys never would know to look for them.
I believe this is why I have not seen them in my city. The terminals are clustered at the shuttleport. Its in the very middle of the city and requires some sharp driving to get to. No direct shot means alts get hung and lost.
