Thread: Unabridged Wish List

Also in the Prima guide is a one use faction shuttle pick up, supposed to be used to get a group back to a city from where ever you are. I'd like to see that as a SL ability. kind of a run out, do your mission / missions, and when you're done and ready to get back to town, call for a pick up, and the whole group get a ride back to the closest town.
That would be awesome.. one of the things I had been anticipating when joining a faction.. however, seeing as most faction perks are either bugged or nonexistent (rank uniforms, etc) I was let down again by SOE
I feel cheap with my reworked SL tree
THESE ARE THE BEST IDEAS EVER!!!!
IF WE DEVS EVER GIVE US THAT...
jeez I'll be happy ![]()
Squad Leader Groups get a Shorter Shuttle Wait say like 5 minutes.
/aimfor
Supression Fire 2
Only Squad Leaders can get high lvl Faction and Normal Missions. ie Squad Leader can get 200 lvl missions and everybody else gets maybe lvl 15
For every member in you group get get 100 more HAM.
The list which follows are the three most important things. They would make us highly desirable as group leaders, highly effective as group leaders, and the differences between being grouped with an SL and NOT being grouped with an SL would be highly visible.
GENERAL TOUGHNESS - (This ability is similar to the TKA Unarmed Toughness passive / Center Of Balance ability in that it literally reduces the amount of damage done.) 5% at Novice, a tree which increased this number to 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, and then culminating at 30% for Master Squad Leader would greatly reduce the damage taken by members of your squad. The implications of this are obvious (as anyone who was witnessed the effects of Unarmed Toughness knows) and this can be easily justified by the greater morale of a group with a strong leader. Teams who have great trust and faith in your leadership would feel the effects of battle and damage less and fight with more heart and dedication.
DAMAGE BONUS - same increments - 5% at Novice, then in 5% groups up to 30%. This again can be justified by the focus and determination provided by a strong leader as well as motivation and morale. Perhaps including an accuracy bonus as well would be nice but it isn't totally necessary. The damage bonus would suffice.
GENERAL MOVE SPEED BONUS - again, same as above, but maybe in smaller increments so that everyone in a MSL group isn't burst running all the time. So maybe a 2% bonus at Novice, 2% for each mobility box after that, and 5% at Master bringing us to 15%. Again, morale and determination.
The code is already in the game to provide thenon-existant ranged defense, non-existantmelee defense, and very much existantterrain negotiation bonusesfor the group, so it stands to reason that these would be rather easy to implement. There is no reason we should not ask for this, and it would make us far more effective as a group leader than painting targets or whatnot. I'm not saying that we shouldn't ask for those skills and abilities as well, I just think that our passive bonuses are either being overlooked or added in the form of commands. We should be able to give commands that give combat bonuses, but it should be IN ADDITION TO this set of passive bonuses.
Fortifications, Bigger Deffense Bonuses and New Deffense Bonuses,
And of course, OFFENSIVE BONUSES to speed and Dammage etc...
"Hostiles" HUD console
Scrolling console listing all enemies currently engaged in combat with group members. From this console you can select an enemy and highlight to create a miniature waypoint column centered on the enemy which is visible to other group members and dynamically tracks with the movement of the enemy.
"Navigator" HUD
Similar console for group waypoints listing all active waypoints of group members. Similarly highlighting one creates a waypoint visible to all group members.
Multipliers to dammage output... Giving Squad Leader Squads the ability to do 2x normal dammage output *every attack is twice as powerful with a Master Squad Leader in Group*
As a new sl here's some of the things that I would like to see.
*FIX*
/rally -- in a group I'm either told to use it or not. for the tka's/others that it mess' make thier abilities override /rally
--------
/clearGroupTarget <target>
This would clear all group members that are currently firing on the current target. In stead of spaming
"Don't shoot the lair, kill the mob" . The equivelent of slapping barrels away from trigger happy raw recruits.
/formation
Allow the group members to opt into group movment, does /follow after 30secs of non combat, when someone does a combat move / shot etc. does a /stopfollow. whole formation moves at slowest speed member of the group ( +sl movement bonuses). This would keep the group together move as a unit and generally cut down on time wasted when waiting for someone who was afk when the group moved to the next target.
/grouptarget
the squad leader uses the /grouptarget command on his current lookat target. Every member in the group if they click off the target or clear the target with escape, would get the squad leaders look at target automatically. would work the same as /ui action targetGroup0;/assist; but without entering into combat.
Passive ability Support
A fixed bubble radius around the Squad leader offeres and +chance to hit modifier, small bubble say 2 - 5 meters. Leadership by example or however you want to put it. The SL provides a natural encoragement to members with his/her pressence alone.
DS
I only have one request, and it's one I think is realistic and important.
There is no skill trainer for Squad Leader on Correlia. Would it be that hard to put on there? Seriously, when I travel from Dantooine, I can only goto one planet - the only one without a trainer. This forces me to take yet another shuttle to Bestine. Now I've wasted a half hour of my time trying to take connecting shuttle flights to get one little skill(thanks to the cap of 500k). Next, I spend another half hour getting back to dantooine.
It would be nice, also, if they Squad Leader trainer didn't exist in a rebel-run city. Look at the four that exist currently:
Bestine - Imperial; Moeina - Rebel; Dearic - Rebel; and well, REBEL OUTPOST. Seriously, Overt Imperials have only Bestine, where someone decides to kill them while they talk to the skill trainer(I know from first hand experience).
Thulium, this is the most simple of requests; and the easiest to implement.
That wouldn't help me too much, still have to take a shuttle or a long walk...still another trip.
Also, I highly doubt any PA would hire a SL trainer...I've seen a whole 4 of us in the last 6 months.
the ability to command more then one group at once
2. Able to see every waypoint of each group member for more effective hunting parties(I find myself asking for mission distances after every one completed)
3. More unique commands such as Sending out a scout, Call for Fire(Mortars) and an ACE report type command that would replenish some pools(Ammo, Casualties and Equipment for those non military type)
