Thread: Squad Leader Correspondant Formal Greeting
Congratulations Vemnox and I feel your pain Volatris.
I find it quite odd that they've selected the correspondent post just based on one single applicationinstead of having a look into the profession forums in addition of that application.
I hope Vemnox catches up quickly as there are several good threads here with all the obvious SL problems listed. You might want to start with the 5 star rated ones written by Volatris.

Thank you Vemnox for your responses here. I'm definately seated in the "Why in the heck wasn't Volatris selected" camp, but that doesn't mean that Vol's the only one who can do the job.
It wouldn't take much research on the devs part to see that Volatris is a community leader on this board, and knowledgeable about the SL profession. The only thing I can think is that they are hoping to get a pushover, someone who won't bring the tough questions and issues to the table.
Don't be that pushover.

To answer the questions posed to me by Streamweaver :
1. How often areyou going to be reporting on this class and will we have a "current report on Squad Leaders" to know what's being presented?
(First of all, hello Streamweaver!)SOE requires of me to submit aweekly list of 5 concerns/comments/etc. on the Squad Leader. Throughout the week, I will pose things to discuss whether it be bugs, ideas, concerns, opinions, etc. I'm planning to do this every Friday or Saturday and, of course, post my results to the forums. The results will completely be decided by the community here, though! During the week I will observe what is talked about (as I hope all my hardcore colleagues here will too) and we will combine our ideas to make the list to submit to SOE! I will generate a full-length report similar to Voltanis's as often as it is changed significantly.
2. Do you really think 30 days will give any profession enough representation. It would seem to me 3 weeks out of every 4 will be getting people introduced into the system and to proceedures so how can any corrispondent properly represent what's going on in that short a time?
30 days was just the rumor flrying all over VN lately. It *can* change and almost positively *will*. SOE, in fact, specifically said do not get attachted to the title, because it can change to give everyone else a turn. I assume they judge based on productivity and my community response and involvement. I do not think 30 days is long enougn, no, but like I said hopefully it will be longer than that and you all will continue to support me past then!
3. I know there will be a "top 10 issues" for each profession but do you know if we'll be getting feedback on the progress and direction of any of those fixes? I'd hate to see the kind of adjustments given CTs continue and hope the communications is going to be a lot better about those kinds of things.
I'm all about feedback and guarantee I will do everything in MY power to milk that out of them! I'm not a mail-bombing hassler, but I will make sure the community's prescence and concerns are felt whole-heartedly and that they are at the very least acknowledged. I seek to assist in creating and maintaining a balanced and fun class that is bug-free.

I'm personally glad to see we had someone else to start with, he's a bit PvE biast =) Hopefully you will see the proffesion from both sides (pve/pvp).
