- You don't need SL for base slicing any more, only smugglers are needed.
- You don't need smugglers and more for base slicing.
- The only slicing any more in game is of smugglers, base slicing is removed.
I assume you mean the first variant, but then i wonder if anybody can confirm... i just can't believe this to happen.
Exactly what part is/is not needed in slicing bases?

I don't think they changed destruction process with only a smuggler.
Easy to tell : get in a PvE base and check what terminals you see.
I had all professions with me and all were still needed.
We had one bugged base which didnt spawned a security terminal but this was a bug.
And yes its still 10 minutes for a Non Master SL and 9 minutes for a MSL.
The only thing I dont know for sure, is the commando requirements.
There is one base slicing guides talking about Heavy Beam Weapons II and two telling that only Heavy Beam Weapons I is needed.

Since Base Destruction tips as at 03/06/05 is written by a base buster template wich is sometimes joining my weekly base raid and the players is pretty experienced in base busting i would say its Heavy Beam Weapons I.
You still need five. I am pretty sure it is Beam Weapons I not II. And I've personally confirmed the 9 minute time for MSL.
As an active base slicer, both pre- and post-CU:
You need all 5 professions.
Sometimes the security (smuggler) terminal doesn't spawn, in which case the smuggler isn't needed for that particular base.
The commando requirement is definitely just x1xx - I can't be sure that the name of thatline hasn't changed with the CU (can't check right now, it used to be Heavy Support Weapons), but it's thesecond line of the tree.

Sounds like the definition of a bug - "SOMETIMES" is rarely a good word...
None the less the information is usefull. I once was in a base without a security terminal and we retreated rather trying it out.
Next time it wont stop us from blowing the base.
