Good work here.
1 criticism: designate medic I would find useless. In my groups the medic makes her/his rounds continuosly allowing the squad to concentrate on their target or being aggrod on. Nine times out of ten the only time a player looks up from the battle for a medic is when they're incapped :/ (I find your designate injured idea very appealing however).
1 praise: force conjunction, an absolutely great idea. Battles and raids could be performed on a massive, well organized scale with a powerful ability like this. One of the best ideas I've read.
Now back to reality (we'll never see these changes but should keep posting em) /sigh

The developers may not be listening to us, but I'll bet if we send enough mail to the designers something will get done. ![]()

A good start... I like the /designatetarget command (Well everyone does, how long have we talked about "painting" targets?) and I would sugesst adding that to the novice box... just cause its so empty. And the coordinates thing could work, though it might be better if they could just put in a % variable that displays your current coordinates. /sysgroup I am at %CC.
And I think covering fire is a great idea but its hard to work out. All the ideas the devs posted before about SL's being "Player Handlers" didnt really sit too well. Would the group have to already be in combat? Would it go into their combat queue? Would it continue until the mob was dead? Would it only last one shot?
I really like some of your ideas...I'm working out a few modifications to the skill tree myself...I'll be added some of the things you've lot of which I think are just outstanding in their creativity. Some other ideas also...I'll probably put in a new post for that...giving you props though and a /bump to the top. Got to support my fellow SLs.

I really love all of your ideas. Especially the non-stat improving ones. (monitor coordinates, force conjunction, designate medic, wounded, and target) I think they are some core areas that a Squad Leader needs to have control over. The news skills are also well thoughout and fit the profession well.

this is wonderfully done....I'm just starting to work on skills for being a Squad Leader in the near future...so I know I haven't come across the problems many have....but having read this board when I decided to become a Squad Leader has helped me lots on the battlefield...I'm more careful...and try and keep any group as organized as possible...
My hope is that the Squad Leader dev pushes this improved skill tree....by the time I Master it, perhaps...useless to most by then...but very helpful for me *wink*
