Agreed...less than perfect weapon that betters our support role would be sweet, but we need "the sampler" so it doesn't force SLs to choose one path towards those bonuses.

Commando needed for a E-web??? You can't really consider it a commando weapon, it's just a squad support laser gun

SL weapons that add to the SL group ablities. I like that but A cdef pistol with +5 group terrain negotaion isn't going to cut it. I think we need a certain level equiment for our weapons. We are a hybrid class after all we use lots of skillpoints and don't get to multi class as much asOther elite professions can. Most the lootedweapons I have seen in game suck compaired to that of a weaponsmith in damage and speed.To be a good SL we need to be just as good in battle as our elite profession combats ifwe use the skills to be an elite profession likeriffleman,pistoleer, and carbineer.

im not a squad leader, so dismiss my sugestion if you want to.
i would say, once you hit master, go to a squad leader trainer and get a schematic for the weapon type of your choice. then a weponsmith would use that schematic to make 10 of that weapon. it would be new art for each weapon type so everyone could tell it was a MSL weapon, plus it would have somewhat comprable stats to a regular weapon, since it was player crafted. Even after the ballance, the player crafting would keep it comprable. finaly, allow each copy of your weapon to have a different mod on it. one copy might be +10 to group terrain negotiation, one might be +10 to volly fire, and so on.
the last part might not be the best idea, but i like it. like i said, i have never been SL so i dont really know the specifics of the class. i do know they help out a whole lot in hunting groups. i love having a MSL on krayt hunts.

CDEF with +5?? lol.. thats a good laugh.
If at most we should get 3 ranged weapons. *Ie for Pistol, carbine, rilfemen* obvusiouly you would want mods that relate to the weapon.

Sorry, I don't browse the forums as much as I used to.
Having something of your own is status. Master Squad Leader is a status in itself, but I would also like to see our own weapon or armor even for us. I know that we get to share the cool armor with BHs and Commandos, but maybe a helmet with enhanced features. Makes sense, if it helps with communication and getting information on your enemy, etc. Things I hope make it to the revamp
If we have a weapon though, it can't be specific to any 1 class. I tried to think of a way to do it without having the SL go through a profession. Like the sword or pistol, being able to use it skillfully (not as good as a master of course) without having the skill. That wouldn't work. Still, at MSL, it is a status. Since SL is often assumed to go with military rank, its just as well as saying you are the highest rank you can get. You are the best Squad Leader there ever can be, so here is this __________. Use it with pride.
