You won't like this, but, apparently Player Cities are the priority right now over even professions. *cringe* By the way, in the future, please don't ask me if I have insight into something or know if the Dev's said something about something ... because if you haven't figured it out by now, I post everything I hear.

But SL is a profession that benifits ALL combat professions

example if the medic or doctor wasnt working then it would benifit ALL combat people to have them fixed.

so,

Take the number of active squad leader + active combat professions, carry the one, do some math. WeCAN afford a full time Dev for our profession (and we should)

problem is the active combatprofessionsjust dont know that they need us yet......

My first post on this board so have patience. Although Sl isn't getting the attention we feel it deserves, try to show a little tolerance towards the devs. This is not the profession for a player that wants to be "uber max kill em all". We are meant to be leaders. (and I am not referring to Rpers only) If this doesn't suite your playing style or personality then change professions. Yes there are some problems, but as stated earlier this game is gonna be around a long time. Take your time, enjoy the trip, and relax a bit. 5 years from now SWG will still be here and I have no doubt that it will still be the best morph around. Those of us old enough to remember the release of A New Hope in the 70's have been waiting for a game along these lines based on Star Wars for 25 years. What's a few more months or even a year to wait to have everything perfect? If your only answer is "I pay $15 to play" then simply suspend your account til its fixed to your satisfaction. We'll be sure to post our glowing responcesto the changes for anyone to look at.

As an aside, I am SL/DE. I know what its like to be ignored by the devs on every level. No biggie though......pistoleering fills in the time for now.................

2. There are less SLs, so classes with more players should get fixed first. (Personally, I think this is the case)

3. Solutions for SLswill take longer to code implement. (I don't have a good sense of this one)\

I think those 2 points, especially number three, are good reasons...Think about it - its VERY easy to change a variable so something does more dmg, or less etc...But imagine the coding they have to do to make totally new skills for squad leaders, and get them working right. I imagine it's probably one of the harder skills to get coded.

I never said that. I saida devon eachaspect, which can be pretty broad. There should at least be someone working on all the combat professions full time.. but did you ever notice the patches are always shifted towards 2-3 professions in the same area? They probably have 2 devs working on every profession.. and half of the changes aren't even code, its just some values tweaked.. thats not coding, even Koster can do that sh-t.Maybe making fun of Koster will get him in here to acknowledge this profession at least

And when I say the $15 bucks a month stuff, I'm really referring to the actual BUGS that have existed since beta.. I'm not even considering any new additions to professions. I'm not saying we're supposed to expect new additions all the time for our money. There's still lots of sh-t they just haven't fixed yet, that hinder a lot of classes.

Zeraxis, sorry didn't mean to fly off the /rant like that, I misinterpreted your post. I'm as frustrated as you are in several gameplay and bug areas. I, personally, still do enjoy and appreciate the game though for what it is.

What do you want me to say?It is not my responsibility or even minutely in my power to get anything going. I said stuff was coming but if you scroll down, all also said it looks like it's going to be some time. The Correspondent boards are lit up with half the correspondents being quite angry, of course including myself. Here is a post by the DE Correspondent that started it all:

The second major patch and no love in any form for Droid Engineers. Can someone please explain why? I dont think there has been a patch that addressed DEs that did not nerf our droids and our ability to make money.

Our bug list is huge. I am a Developer/Systems Architectguys. I know that if you had a programmer on the bug list even 25% of the time the bug list would be drastically down by now. Most of our bugs have existed since release three months ago.

Is it a matter of resources? Prioritized very low? Please let me know. I try and be cheerful about things .. I try and give my guys hope. But it is slipping. Please ... PLEASE at least tell me that your architect/designer is at least working hard identifying Droid issues and prioritizing them. Please tell me that DEs will be worked on soon. Even if it isisnt the truth(sigh)

My profession needs a valid roadmap, as I think so most professions here. But to be selfish at this moment I just want to know what is in store for the next 30 days for droids. Please? I wont hold you to it .. I know things change in our industry so I dont want promises .. I only want to know what the roadmap you guys HOPE to follow is for Droids.

I know you all are busting your butts. I apoligize for beinga hardship but I am a little disapointed. I just dont think I can maintain the confidence of my guys if I keep saying "soon guys .. soon" and nothing appears.

That said ... let me know how I can help and I will be there to do it.

Since then all the other correspondents are replying with the same type of thing. I don't know what to tell you that you so desperately want to hear. PM or e-mail the Dev's and ask them yourself. You can either trust me that I'm doing everything in my power short of going berserk and getting kicked out of the system ... or you can be patient.

You're looking atit all wrong, Jynn. This patch is a success for SLs, because we didn't get turned into puppeteers!

Heck yeah, I'm glad not to be a puppet master.

But I would like to see a Dev say something for SL. ANYTHING. Even "We really do Hate Squad Leaders... Die." Would at least let me know to pursue another profession. This is just irritating as all hell.

Tho it isn't your fault, Imperial pig-dog correspondant. My apologies.

Yesterday Holo asked if SL wanted to be able to flag players for healing or if it should be a normal group leaders ability. He said Squad Leader even.

Well it is a disappointment that we are not mentioned in the patch but franky thats a good thing. If you have noticed every patch they are constantly fixing the most popular professions or changing things around. It is bummer that player cities are the main focus at this point but I have a lot of faith in SLs. When we do finally get that update, I bet you we will become the most powerful profession in the game. This is not combat wise, but overall we will be. The devs have always wanted the game to be based around grouping and when we are fixed, i'm sure a lot more groups will form. At the moment, there is too many ppl going solo and you don't get to experience the core element of the game. I'm still happy with my SL and will keep going towards master (4 3 2 2), so if you have no faith they will fix it, find another profession. At least i'm not jumping on the BH or Commando band wagon. Being SL has made my character very unique and rare, almost like a Jedi, but definately lacking in skills. Just wish that I wouldn't have to fork out so much cash for training. Are there any SLs on Kauri, drop me Mailek in game a tell or let me know who you are so I can cheaper training.

There is possibly another reason why we are last to see any updates:

4. Due to the proposed changes in the other combat professions it would be premature to change anything in the Squad leader profession until these changes to the other combat classes have been implemented and evaluated. Reason is balance. We can't control the balance if the underlying classes have not been set as far as their abilities without damaging the results of the SL changes.

Just a possibility.....
