I've always loved the LZ idea.. But i do think it should be restricted by a timelimit (only once every 10 minutes?), and restricted to a Shuttleport at one end (either Takeoff from a shuttleport, or land at one), but the SL should get the flexibility to pick.. Either a "Hot Insertion" or an "Emergency Extraction"...
Gotta agree with the rework. Just enough skills DO work that a revamp isn't necessary, but that's just me. lol I REALLY like the drop zone/LZ idea, that would be a cool one to see. One thing that would help balance it out would be to require either a vehicle/ship slot for your transport vehicle since you would be running a taxi service of sorts. And of course, that would open up the option of factional/clone relic style vehicles for that ability (admit it, some of you would LOVE to pick up or drop off your group in a Republic Gunship hehehe). All sorts of possibilities with that.
Ya thats how it should be, a long cool down on it and i like your ideas on take off and landing.
