Thread: My New Skill Tree Rework
In order for this to get noticed, I think it's going to need more than 12 replies. If you're a Dev and don't have time to read every thread in every forum, you're going to look for threads with interesting names, and threads that have an abundance of posts.
Now, having said that, I'm guessing that our fate is already decided. The ranger update was large and comprehensive, and it was stated within that some of the changes were already coded. This implies that decisions were made and work was begun well before the community was updated. Based on that, I'm assuming that decisions have already been made on the Squad Leader, and work may have already begun, so this thread may fall on deaf ears any way.

I just read what they did for Rangers. It looks like they are getting a form of Group Mask Scent and their new improved camps might become little forts, lol. Not sure what is left for us to do. The only thing I can see is group mind recovery (please please) and perhaps changing /boostmorale into healing battle fatigue. We still need a role in PvP, and I think my WarPaint idea might be fun.
If at the end of the day we don't get something, I might become a ranger. They have many of the skills I want!
MInd regen would be nice but what about the entertainers..? If a squad leader could regen mind then why go to a cantina..? Now if a SL could only heal the mind pools while draing his then that would work out and he can only heal mind pools while in battle then that would be fair..
as far as fortif's i think that they should be a perk for a SL that is REB that way you have a balaning factor for the ATST's or there should be a line in the ENG line to make fortif. for battle.. just my 2 creds
Entertainers heal Mind wounds and BF.
Squad leaders being able to regen mind damage on his squaddies is not something that will ruin entertainers at all..since Entertainers cant heal any mind damage anyways.
We could have a "morale boost" specials that are usable once every 30 mins, that heals 500 mind on each player in the group..but gives the Squad leader 10-50 mind wounds...Because his head hurts after having to shout to every squaddie.
And maybe have a + mind damage regen bonus. Each point would up the tick of the squaddies mind damage regen by 1 point..And you get like a +1 for each skill in one line of the SL skills..and +1 or maybe a little more at master..thus making the mind damage heal twice as fast than when not with a squad leader.
That wont be much overpowered, It will lower the downtime of groups, and make peolpe want a SL as a leader
Bonus only working if the SL is in a group and leader.
Even riflemen wouldnt scream too high about this, because they use alot of mind on their shots too...and if they group with a SL..they regen their mind faster, thus alowing them to shoot more....And for the riflemen targets, they will never regen faster than the rifleman can hurt them...
Entertainers, would maybe cry, but only those who forgot to check what they really heal ![]()
I'm in favor of Mind Pool Regen ONLY. That would not overlap with the Entertainer skill set since it does not effect Mind Wounds or Battle Fatigue.

There actually WAS a combat engineer (or atleast intentions for one)along time ago.. but I guess they cut it out before beta even.

Bump! i vote yes to everthing, i love the idea of mind regen (makes mind actually healable and makes SL wanted and needed), i love the idea of fortifications (awsome idea and wouldnt take away from rangers), i love the idea of the moblity line and the defense line,
If they made squad leader exactly like this, i would be VERY happy at soe (right now im bored playing the game with 2 broken professions)
