"Stop flaming the Devs. If I were them, I certainly would not support a bunch of whiners, I'd work with the classes that productively work with us."

This is funny.

Which classes would those be, exactly?

The SL forum is the most constructive forum on this board. It shouldn't be - the Test Center forum should be. But the whiners have decided that if they whine on the TC forum, maybe they'll get noticed, which has pretty muc trashed that forum.

Well all I can say, or rather, point out is that this phenominum of SOE not listening to the correspondants is not singular to the SL correspondent. Take a look at the DE correspondant who is ready to quit her job due to not being heard by SOE.

So I would recommend focusing on keeping the information coming and giving the correspondant more ammunition than pointing the gun at him.

I disagree that our current correspondent needs to go.

He has been communicating with the SL community and listening to us.

I think hawkbatleader1 needs to really play and use your SL abilities more often and see if really is fine the way it is. Or perhaps suggest how 'constructive' we should be.

You must be kidding. Our correspondant is more helpful than any I have seen. He hasn't been 'positive' because he's an SL and is pissed off just like the rest of us.

While I think that some of the proposed changes to squad leader have real merit and should be looked at I believe that Vem has done a decent job at this. Vem does encourage discourse and while we disagree on somethings, its not a problem to come here and dissent against popular opinion. I also think that if some of these propsed changes do happen and we do try them out, that Vem will be one of the first to say that /cover can be useful if it turns out to be so. What Vem is bringing forward is the majority of the considered opinion here and I think that is a big part of his job. If he was on my side then I think there would be cause to be upset.

Vem,
For the record, I think you are doing a good job. I understand that a lot of people are upset, because we feel our profession is being ignored. In actuality, it is, and so are other professions. You've always used everyones comments to formulate helpful suggestions and forwarded everything you felt was needed to the DEVs. The problem is that the DEVs are not responding, and everyone places the blame on you. It's actually the DEVs fault, and most people are aware of this. However, sometimes you only get to hear the negative comments. The squad leader community has been pretty much level headed and willing to see what they have in store for us. However, I'd like just a glimpse of how they plan on making our class useful. For that matter, other classes and ideas such as player cities, as well. They have a vision, and they are only offering small glimpses of it to their users. I think Holo or Q3PO even mentioned that every profession might feel ignored at this time.

Stop flaming the Devs. If I were them, I certainly would not support a bunch of whiners, I'd work with the classes that productively work with us.

I see you have no idea what the job of Post-Beta (as if we are out of Beta at this time) Dev's happens to be... it's to listen to both praise and complaints, and then do something about it.

If I were a Dev, I would be in the office of management at SOE in my building and saying "Ya know guys... there are some really pissed off people in SWG right now. How can we appease most of them and still get the job done?"

Lol it apparently takes a triple major with a PhD in Business to even begin to realize that concept.

I am bored waiting for a shuttle, so I thought you guys might like some more lovely hawkbatleader1quotes for further amusement. The best part is how I am so terribly negative, but take a look at his stuff:

"Wow. I'm impressed. I've never seen someone so dense be able to type that clearly."

"Yet my other professions' correspondants are rather dissappointing... not to mention a board fullof whiney crybabies."

"And I'm always a fan of tossing gasoline on a low fire...just to make it bigger."

"Well, you know what they say... 'Big Hairy Feet...Big Hairy <---->'"

"You all should be shot."

"If you've been hearing this kind of crap for years Justin, maybe society at large is NOT WRONG! GROW UP OR SHUT UP!!"

"By the way, in case no one has read the SQUAD LEADER threads, you might get a kick out of this. SL's think they should gain SL experience by leading a group made up of the SL, a Pet, and a Droid. "

"Now quit your bitching, and quit the **edit** game already. I'm sick hearing whining from your type. Hope you burned out enough to not come back."

... and of course about a dozen instances of: "Can I have your stuff?"

Try sometime, it makes you feel good! And making 5 posts, one of which being this one, doesn't merit anything. Have a nice night!

Umm . . . I think Vem is doing fine. What would you have him do, go postal on the devs? I think you need to find a new outlet for your frustration, hawkie boy. You have made the false assumption that the amount of feedback we get from the devs is directly proportional to the amount of effort Vem has put into communicating with them.
