1. Rally needs to be either removed or allow people to Rez, Scout, etc. I never use it.
2. Volley fire damage could have a modifier like other special attacks fighters have.
3. The Ranger Camp/SL Bunker idea was a nice one, gives people defensive and healing bonuses and would make them hard to dislodge from a location.
4. SL Weapon, Have it so that it requires multiple people to use (After all, we are "Squad" leaders)

I've picked up squadleader last night, because to have a better feel in the group that i'm needed. As rifleman i'm better on my own in PvE (concealshot is IMHO to powerfull to be in a first skillbox). So I don't know how the skills work for the moment. But here goes my 5 questions:
- I read everywhere a revamp, when does it come because some post are from last year?
- Why do i need survival tree for squad leader? The ranged support tree is clear to me, we are to lead and support our squad. But survival tree?
- Why do we give group Terrain Negotation? The most have Explo III or IV for this. I know that some of the guild will drop scout now because they know i'm squad leader and can give them the negotation. And for solo they use mostly a vehicle.
- This is one that isn't for SL only but think everyone is intrested in it: how is the new HAM system going to look like and what influence should that have for 'active' skills?
- got enough questions for now even the 3 and 4 are on the edge to fill the list

B) lower the cost - retreat uses almost all of your ham, and dosent last very long. is this intended? the set shout for it, is "I'll hold them off!" well, your not gonna hold 'em off without any HAM
- Melee/Ranged defence does not go over cap
- squadleader should be able to hold more than one faction pet IMO
- fortifications

The only thing Squad Leader is good for at the moment is the Terrian Nego. for the group, MAYBE the defense for the group, and Form-Up.
Broken Skills:
1) When ever I am in a PvP group I don't have enough time to use /sys it takes too long to type and figuring out the colours is bad enough.
2) Rally seems to help a LITTLE but isn't worth it do to taking rez away.
3) Boast Morale isn't needed too much in PvP if you have Combat Medics and Doctors... I havn't had to use it yet.
4) I use Retreat to run into a battle but then I am usless for a minute or so while I take off my helmet and recharge my mind.
5) Steady Aim is almost useless as well.
6) Volley Fire doesn't do much because it doesn't target a certain HAM and only works with one shot. It only is good if you need to take out a certain target and almost everyone has the same kind of weapon and you use Steady Aim before it.
(Did I miss any?)
What would make use more useful:
1) MAKING OUR SKILLS ACTUALLY WORK!
2) I don't NPC's would be of much use... they are too weak for PvP anyway - but I wouldn't mind.
3) Making our Survival skills useful would be appreciated. I'm not trying to take it away from Rangers but we could use sand-bags or some kind of fortifcation.
4) Giving us a new kind of weapon that no one else could use. Or some skill that can take out or knock-down a person instantly (only once) if we are targeted or almost dead. (This would help because when you are dead it is hard to lead your troops - although it would give away what we are...)
5) Letting Squad Leader get some money some how. We have to get another Combat Professions to be of any use and that doesn't make a whole lot of money. Especially since Commando takes up so much SP.
I wish the Devs would tell us something about what is going on with Squad Leader. I've heard that they pushed Smuggler back so Squad Leader could be revamped but is that coming out in 9 or 10?
I am not going to drop Squad Leader for any reason... even if they do manage to make it worse but I would like to be useful... at least sometimes.

The latest update on TestCenter included the following:

So that's one of the most requested items taken off the list for Squad Leaders. So we'll have to come up with some more ideas, either that or the SL revamp in a couple months will be spectacular
On the other hand, maybe all those group commands that are in the manual will finally work
