Thread: Thinking about a return to Squad Leader a weapon question

Hey guys thanks for the lectures and the mechanics 101 course. I mean really after playing this game for almost 2 years thats what i was loking for. You guys have fun now i think you help me make my decision anyways.
Then -please- explain what you want? We told you the regular caps on the weapons, we told you that DPS, when you asked for it, was not the stat to look at.
If we were insulting you, it was not intentional. I know some veterans who still speak in terms of DPS and then are utterly surprised when my low-DPS weapon rips them to pieces while their high-dps weapon just smacky my armour.
We are trying to be helpful, if this is insulting you, i am really sorry but don't know how to change that, unless you specify more exactly what you are looking for.

Click the link in my Sig, that gives a lot of information about SL weapons that was started when the CU came about so that all of us would know what's up and where's where and how's how.
i assume then nothing has changed with weapons or weapon stats since May then. I appreciate your post and thats what I'l go by. Thank you.

We have the SL cache thread around, lists all available things pretty well.On the matter of DPS... why not wound chance? Both stats are worthless when evaluating the quality of a weapon, after all.Anyways, be assured the intimidator pistol and E5 carbine can be crafted up to the standards of other lv. 54 weapons and are well able to mess with the best and come out as top-class weapon.
I appreciate the information though the chip on shoulder I don't understand. i read through that thread but seeing the date on it assumed things could have changed and something new may have been out or new resources may have bumped the crafted weapons up a bit. the stat DPS on the gun is a borked number and I was more interested in real DPS. I'm still not accustomed to equaiting that particular stat with the term DPS as i am more used to raw DPS figures that we have always figured based on min/max and speed, so where you're little snide comment came from i don't know.
It's all up to date, pooling the latest info as I find it. As for resources, well they will always vary, due to the fact that they are not static resources. So the best that's available will be the best the gun can have. Those stats are the max stats possible for the craftable E5 and Intimidator. Check the thread about pistol buying, that'll help on knowing more about pistols. There's also one for Carbines. Haven't found one suitable for Rifles, but with work being in the way, it may take some time.
They're all pretty nice weapons
The question was for DPS, that doesn't mean DPS tells everything ![]()
I only use the Dawnsorrow Rifle (MSL) and the Tchotchee Pistol (Strategy III), and both are my best. They have good DPS, and just good everything else. I don't use wound chance, my fights don't last long enough for that to factor in. I've seen some stats for the Intimidator Pistol (I think MSL) and I'm very impressed with it too. All the normies compliment our SL guns too ![]()
