Thread: Squad Leader: Template Factory
Settled on MBH M Carbs SL xxx4 Medic xx2x. I have HE clothes and a 110 med droid to get my heals up. Absolutely no problems thus far and loving it. Grouping with a pet or droid and coupling imp duelist stance with rally is nice. (I usually throw some Thundercloud on top of it too)
Can't wait for the revamp to get; Blaze of Glory (Tactics III) - Gives or enhances the chance to score a critical hit. Double Time (Tactics IV) - Reduces cool-down times for group members.

Anyone tried: Master Squad Leader/ Master Ranger? Is this viable?
Currently... you'll have no combat specials really.
After both have been revamped, it might be a little more effective, but I think still lacking in specials.
TERRORIST! Hehe, you wouldn't happen to be Imperial by chance, would you? Cause I got a 2K stretch of land on Kettemoor's Lok I'd like to be heavily trapped.

I'm going to take a char that way on TC so we'll know before it hits live. Personally i think i'll be boatloads of fun, especially if i can get in some pvp on TC.
Macro #1:
/settrap; /camotrap
/macro #1; ( move a bit left or right) /macro #1; (move a bit left/right) [repeat]
hide, and hold your finger over the detonator. when the enemy comes inform the squad, apply a buff, and let loose hell
Who says that can't be fun????

Greetings all Squad leaders,
I am MBH, MSL,CM 4 x x x
First let me say if your not going to master SL then why do it? Only a master gives all the great bonuses of sl. Also.. with the comming revamp of SL you will miss many little important commands if only do a row or two. I am a Bountey Hunter and so I get out my pet and group him. This way I have extra deffence, speed, accuracy, terrain nav, and use of commands such as Rally, Steady aim, and huge bonus to burst of speed if my mark attempts to run. All good things agains Jedi. MBH and MSL are great together. I can switch up weapons as needed. As SL you are expected to lead men to battle. BH gives you the option of sitting way back to asses by using a rifle, go into assult mode by using a carb, or leading men into an enemy base with your Scatter pistol for close quarter fighting. Now here is the best part guys.. If attacking a SF base you just know Jedi will show up to deffend it. Whats better then having your Squad Leader with a proffesion designed to take out Jedi?? When we get into PVP I am able to tank for the squad, and use state attacks such as confusion shot and eye shot. This messes with the targets speed, accuracy, and damage. This gives your squad a better chance of taking them down. Finally with CM 4 0 0 0 I can keep my squad healed with bacta toss and heal my self while I guard otheres doing there job at there terminals. Once the revamp comes in as bh I can group with other MSL's and get massive deffence, speed and accuracy because in the revamp the more sl's in the grp the more the bonuses are multiplyed. Thus.. 7 sl's give the bh all bonuses x 7 ( or 8 if the bh is sl as well) . I take SL seriously. Its my job to lead the group in battle. I went BH so I could run in first and tank to keep my squad alive. A good Commander leads from the front!!

That is what I'm currently grinding .. bty is PvP really that good? I think dabbling w/ two elite trees in SL should be discouraged, a MSL should get the best of what SL has to offer, low timers/cool down , best % on buffs, and best defenences.
Shoot me a tell if u find me online../tell Bloodfin.militis
my template is basic for me. Master SL, Master Carbs (anyone of the ranged including Comando, Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, sorry if I left any out, will do) and 4-0-0-0 Cobat medic. I am strong enought to tankas long as I heal myself or have a doc or CM help me out when I get in over my head, I have carbs for long distance shooting as well as up close (I dont like too up close so I didnt take pistols but root would have been nice). In my opionion, a good all around solid but basic template ( I am sure there are alot of us MSL/MCarbs/4xxx templates out there.
- I'm maintaining the integrity / conceptof my character and reason I picked up SWG ( MSL ).
- Double-bladed saber (I have a thing for staff-type weapons
) - Ok damage with a saber, ok damage with guns - not the nuke
- Decent defenses, decent innate armorand can wear my uniform in combat
- I can PvP without Force using a gun, and do fairly well ( PvP =/= duels )
- I can still wear my Imperial Shock Armor for special events (non-combat mainly)
Disadvantages:
- Small Force pool to play with, have to manage Force closely
- No Force Aura, not the best tank
- No Healing, have to rely on friendly Docs and CMs - oh, darn

- No Force Lightning (the idea of a lightning tossing Imperial Officer just sounded fun
) - I'll fold like a deck of cards against a skilled BH - which is why I stay off the terminals

I considered a dual mastery (MSL and something) but didn't like the way any of them looked. Sabers left no defense; Powers would have been cool with SL general ranged but no defense and poor saber skills; Defender would have ruled as the "Last man standing SL" but poor saber skills again.
