Sorry, but I'm now ashamed to be a Squad Leader, on account on the venombeing spit at from both sides here. Frankly, I'm disgusted with all the mud being thrown around and all the rude insults. Both sides made mistakes, so what. Get over it. You may have felt slighted by TH, but just as you say Captain invested a lot of work into his reports, can't you seeall the work TH has invested? 33 Professions, plus a number of other things. Take Captain's work, multiply it by that. Sure, TH could've clicked on the link, found the the Top 5, but Captain could've just as easily made a simple cut and paste. It would've ended right there. TH must prioritize, you think no other Class wanted to be able to stick more than 5 issues in?

Captain left, okay. There's no need for the rest of you to rally about and call TH or Jester names. Do you somehow think that's gonna make them eager to help us?

He is right there.

All this insults thrown all over the place isnt going to help us very much. Everyone should just calm down and look at the situation again, and try to understand why and how it has happen. And perhaps concentrate on moving on.

It took me a whopping 10 minutes to read this thread. I now feel that I have a good understanding of most of the problems facing the squad leader profession. Now, assuming that the people at SOE work a 5 day week minimum, that is what, 15 minutes of research a day to have a better understanding of what gripes the community has? This entire situation is moronic. Look at all of the squad leaders who stand behind this man. Despite what those from other forums might say, the squad leaderssupport him. Is that not what truly matters? If the people of this forum support him then he was doing his job. He apparently expressed the complaints of the squad leaders quite well, and tossing aside a valuable resource such asCV is indictive of how small an understanding that SOE truly has of parts of the community.

Would just like to say thanks for the work you put in here.
I've been here and reading this forum since the day you were elected Correspondent and imo you did a **edit** fine job.

All the best in whatever you life throws at you next.

I am not playing a squad leader character in the game. I haven't picked a skill at all ever since the character's creation. Yet, I have been reading the fora and I know what the state of mostprofessions is, more or less. I also know that this specific profession is "broken". I don't like the term "broken". Personally I describe it as not being able to offeranyabilities worth having to the player character, and that it is just a waste of skill points. With that being said I will now say what I believe about the issue at hand.

I believe that in this case both parties are doing something wrong but I blame the SWG team the most. As far as CaptainV is concerned I think did two mistakes. One I can understand but am on the fence on the second one.

  1. He was irritated and was being negative about the whole thing

  2. He quit

(No! The fact that he brought this case here is not a negative thing in my opinion. We are entitled to know.)

Anyway, there is one major difference in the parties involved. One is a volunteer and the other is doing his full time job. Lets not forget that other than a volunteer CaptainV is also a paying customer. Yes maybe he should have been more cooperative; Yes he might have had a bad day or whatever. Yet, is that the way the development team should reply to the community?

[For the shake of the argument lets assume that CaptainVis the worst volunteer that has everwalked on this planet. He doesn't cooperate and he can't do anything right.]

Don't they [the SL SWG team] know that the profession has major issues that need to be taken care of? Haven't they been listening to the community's problems in the past? Did they just now learn that there are issues? Was it so hard to pick up a previous list of items and pick what they thought were the top 5 issues? Or is it that they are holding a grudge against the community? Or maybe ...against CaptainV. What is this? An eye for an eye thing?

Personally it seems to me that they try to put the blame for their inability to handle things to your correspondant. "Yeah, we don't have anything to say to you because we never got any feedback from your correspondant".

Ahhh, so if a corresspondant, for whatever mysterious reason, never logged back in they would never do anything about the profession because they never heard anything or never received a list from me, you or whoever.

Is that the level of professionalism that SOE can demonstrate to us? Holding a grudge to the whole community(which is paying forthis service, thank you very much) just because a volunteer refused to do something? [we have assumed that Captain is just horrible in doing this, remember?]

I haven't heard Thunderheart's side of the story and I probably never will, yet does it really matter? Does it really matter if Captain ever did ANYTHING right? Can the SWG team really trick all of you by saying "It's not our fault"? Isn't it THEIR responsibility to collect any data/feedback they need if for some reason we cannot provide them to them? (and why should we? it is in THEIR best interested to make the game better.)

The SWG team needs to recheck their business processes again I say.

Please don't say he is the worst volunteer currently on this planet. He did a good job.

I play a ranger and I have seen his posts in our forum concerning bunkers. I did not say he was not good. I only made an assumption for the shake of the arguement. I don'tbelieve that anyone, eventhe oppossing party in this case, believes he was not doing a good job.

Besides, 6 pages of posts with only good things to say about him (excepta post or two) do show he was good.

Even those who think that Vemnox was the person in the wrong, believe that he did a great job as correspondent. His previous accomplishments stand for themselves as a tribute to CaptainVemnox, the results of the actions of last Friday should not diminish that regardless of what you think of them.
