Thread: Banning of SL account for using form up command?

pathetic excuse. after Sabrinna was kicked offline and she logged back on the first words out of the CSR's mouth were that should teach you not to spam in a city.... Personally I would blow up to. That's a freakin outrage.

Wake up lol. It's not about being an SL, it's about actually making people crash and lag out and then not giving a 5hit.
Sorry Hemi, you're fellow Rebel Radiant blood and all, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you.
Asking a paying customer to work around a broken system (too much chat = crashed clients? Puh-leeze) so you can continue to focus on an expansion (Jump To Lightspeed) instead of fixing the problem, is not acceptable. It may make business sense, after all JTL will bring in a big wad of cash, but it's not going to do squat for customer loyalty or satisfaction. Perhaps I'ld feel differently if I knew a SL Revamp was due out in a few weeks to fix this, but knowing that it's gonna be sometime around Christmas, I'm gonna spam spam spam the night away...
We don't really have any options, do we? We can't turn off the text. If we cross a server boundary or go out of range, our specials don't have any effect on our group-mates. If we slow down the rate, then they become less effective. I usually don't run formup macros, but in large 20+ vs 20+ battles I can't keep up with the speed the dizzy's are applied so I macro it. I don't see anything wrong with it, my group doesn't see anything wrong with it, the enemy doesn't see anything wrong with it. In fact, it usually makes me a prime target, but that's the price I pay for being effective.
None of this changes the fact that part of being a CSR is to insure the gameplay of the MMO populace. If people were complaining and crashing out, then he should've moved his SL. For your information, the nearest server boundary to Coronet seems to be around 2k to the South. Relic didn't know that I guess. Maybe they should get called out on the forums for not knowing that little gem of info. Moving the SL would be the thing a gentleman would do. Instead, he threatened to spam MORE lol. Petition to fix Squad Leader specials, don't petition to unsuspend your irate friend that pissed off the wrong CSR.

Has any squad leaders been warned and/or banned for using form up in populated areas?
CSR KeithR banned a SL account on radiant today for using form up "to often" as he put it in a populated area!
Any one else have these problems?

There was a rash of Warnings a few months ago, but Dilune talked to the Devs and the word was the CSR's were "schooled" in how a SL works, and it wouldn't happen again..

we have screens we are uploading now, our SL BOT was not AFK spamming like a bot or anyting they basically said that we could only spam form up every 30 secs
KeithR has no clue to how SL works since i would LOVE to not have the spamming but oh well, can't do much about that. Funny thing is we were actively PvPing when the warning came so IDK!
The default /shout is Form Up SlimeBalls!!!!! I would give anything to change this spamming cause the hate tells. It is in-game mechanics and a flwed designed that forces this, however an account getting banned is overboard!
First, the SL was warned and immediately teleported to 0.0 on naboo, we were told in game /tells that to use in combat or we would be banned, we did use in combat about 15 mins later while fighting in theed and BAM, insta ban!

Notice how this CSR thinks the spamming was occuring 1000's of times a second lol
Do these guys have any clue about this game?

DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT THE CSR SAID THAT SL ABUSES THEIR POWERS SO DOES THAT MEAN

im really sorry but a person in my guild was baned for using /formup check the ss's it's the worst thing that's ever been done in this customer service.
