I am just curious. I have been reading theses boards (lurking mainly...teehee) for a while now. I have recently been voicing my opinion when the sl xp fix (break) came through hoping to get heard and provide support for the proffession I hope to love. I have noticed recently since the whole holocron mayhem, that we are getting alot of draftees in our borked profession. I myself have no desire (at the moment) to go on this chaotic crusade of creating a Jedi at the expense of my fun and my character.

Which comes to my point. How many of you out there are in the Squad Leader profession voluntarily, like myself? I have nothing against people who want their Jedi, but I believe that the way the devs have come up with creating your FS slot defeats the purpose of the game.

I'm here by choice, mostly. I mean mostly because I rarely play the game anymore so I'm not really "here." If I were "here" I'd still be SL. But I'm not really "here." Just mostly.

I'm SL by choice. I think the holocron stuff is B.S. and want no part of it. I like leading groups and have no interest in becoming a jedi.

I was a Squad Leader before it was cool, and I'll be one long after the Jedi slots have all been opened. I could give a rat's ass what my holocron says. I have already picked my path. Ifplaying the game the way I like it doesn't yield me an FS slot, screw 'em.

when i started my first character, i was orginaly going for smuggler but after reading over the skill trees i felt SL was a better fit. this of course was before i realized it was broken.

But i did choose to be a SL, and i have no intentions of giving it up, esspecaly not for all this jedi hype. all of my characters are based off of RP characters ive used in the past and ive planned their skills acordingly.

if i do deside i want to work on my FS character slot i will do it on one of the characters i do nto particularly care for or make a brand new character specificly desided for that pourpos. i probably will one day but i have to much to do and not enough time in which to do it.

How do you improve the entire game, and one of the more useless professions at the same time? Well this is a start: Help Support the http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=squad_leader&message.id=10609>Fortification Proposal

I am both drafted and willing I guess. Many moons ago my PA leader told me that we have no Sls in outr PA. At the time I was grinding through pistoleeer and droid Engineer, so I decided to take the path chosen by fate. If not for the latest xp bug I might even be Master right now. So I don't know, am I drafted, willing, or a willing draftee?

Lol my 3 fav professions are doomed to be screwed....next fix will screw the Fwg5 and pistoleer and Ch and SL because i think almost all of the SL that chose to be SL are that combo.........

The Fwg5 is my tool to Solo'ing with my pet and 3 troopers to get exp.....now guess what.....im getting practically no exp ......the only thing im crusing through is my Ch skills....

but it wont matter because Ch are goin to suck worse than the SL are right now....

See i dont even have SL posted in my signature....

This profession is pretty much useless except for the sys message ( which is the only skill i have novice SL)

so i get to mess around with sys message while killing rancors with 20 people.....

Well by drafted, I mean those who are told by a magic 8ball that they much master SL to be a Jedi. I salute you in being a SL for the good of the PA. A very nobel cause. Your not taking up the profession just to grind away and then drop it like it was a 10 hooker.

A friend got me into the game and before i even started playin i throught SL was a cool looking profession. One b/c theres not alot out there like BH or Ranger but if they ever get it worked out it would be one of the best professions in the game. later down the road

I am the master at choosing borked professions. Rifleman/Sl, right here. One cred to see him, five creds to poke him. Gather `round and be amazed!

My first character was an Architect. Made it to master, and had fun. I got a second account4 weeks ago for the sole intent to become a Squad Leader. I haven't looked back since, and I'm almost Master now. It's funny, because each day Iread the forums and my moral goes down. I ask myself why am I a Squad Leader? It's such a 'broken' profession. Any positive post I've made gets flamed by 5 other frustrated Squad Leaders. Then, I log in to play the game andget 5 - 10 tells asking me to lead their group. It doesn't even matter when. I logged in Monday morning because I had the day off of work, and still managed to get a group of 7 people. We hunted on Dathomir and by the end of the day the group grew to about 14 people plus pets. I get /tells from people I haven't met because they happened to have a friend whogrouped with me at some point in time. Ienjoy helping them on the pathto their chosen profession, or showing them stuff that they may not otherwise have know about; like the Maurader Camp on Endor. I LOVE playing a Squad Leader, even if some of the commands aren't as spectacular as Commando. I do think that there needs to be some changes made with this profession.. but alot of being a Squad Leader is what YOU make it.

SL since 1.5 months into release. 4 14 4

And though I AM trying to open my FS slot, I'm dropping OTHER classes like Pistoleer to swap around. I'm always gonna keep as much SL as possible.
