Due to Vehicles, and Mounts, Combat Medics getting Terrain Negot. and Possibly commandos as well... mobility tree is practically useless... Lets remove this tree and place its bonuses in Master Squad Leader and Novice Squad Leader *gives Novice a little more to work with...*

Replace the mobility tree with a Support Weapon Tree... Give us the certification to a new weapon, Squad Leader Specific for personal use, preferebly Highspeed, and Armor Peircing. As you go up the Support weapon tree, the first two boxes give you the said weapons aim modifiers and specials you can use on your own... The Last Two Trees give you aim/speed modifiers and specials you need a GROUP to use..

Lets call it a Rapid Laser Cannon... It's specials are mainly AOE, and cause random Effects *dizzy, posture change etc...* Give it the HAM costs of a Carbine and we're good to go.... Make sure some of specials require Group of PLAYERS to use, and Make sure some of the Skill Mods need a GROUP to use...

God just give us SOMETHING! You've killed our mobility tree! You BASTARDS!

Perhaps throw into this tree some Group Dammage Modifiers that would increase their Offensive fire power.... Like 1 multiplier for dammage every other tree, so 4 Multipliers all together, one at novice, two up this tree, and one at master....

Give us something that will make us WORTH being and WORTH Grouping with.

I have thought a weapon specialization for squad leaders would be a great idea! Either a special officers pistol or a carbine specialiation would go along nicely with any squad leader template. Since we have to invest combat power to get our profession we shouild get some nice combat skills to go along with us.

Hell yes!!!!

Give us new Weapons!!! Why not every other Elite Combat or Hybrid Combat Profession as them!!!

Give us something to actually fight with!! Let us have weapons that can ONLY be used by SquadLeaders in While in a group!!

Make us a force to be reconed with on the Battle Field! Give us AOE attacks, status changing effects! As it stand now as soon as we use a skill in combat most players have learned to redirect their fire on us as the use of our abilities is accomanied by a yell or a shout!

This is the first I heard of the devs being stupid enough to give our skills to other professions, what next Archietects can make FOOD?!?! LOL

Fellas, personally I love the idea of having a unique squad leader weapon, or a squad heavy weapon, but we're again going to run into the accusation of taking over the role of commando...

I like the idea of a new SL only weapon, the SL officers pistol sounds even better... but it needs to be like a republic blaster so that everyone can use it, even if you dont have any pistol skills

Just my 2 cents

Whatever it is, it will have to have it's own cert in the SL tree, and give out its own kind of xp.

I would suggest making it unlike any weapon (pistol, carb, rifle). It's, well, more unique that way.

I don't think that commandos would complain too much. If they had a weapon that only changed stat and posture, would they use it? I think not, for one reason: It would not give them xp. For us, people who get xp from the group, it would give us xp vicariously by allowing our squad to kill more. It helps us, it wouldn't help them.

I totally agree! Along the lines of the weapon though...how about an Imperial Heavy Repeater Rifle? From the Jedi Outcast/ Jedi Academy games. I think that would work perfectly. Or, if you want a rebel weapon, how about the Flechette Launcher? Both of those would be great Squad Leader weapons.

I would move towards the Heavy Repeater... good weapon Idea, perfect random status AOE attacks....

I'm okay with continuing to have a Mobility tree as long as the functions are updated to reflect the current state of affairs. Terrain negotiation and burstrun are still helpful when you're actually in combat, but the addition of ideas such as formations should be added to Mobility, and I would actually like to see the Fortifications idea inserted into the Mobility tree.

Regarding the the crew served weapons like the BlasTech E-Web Heavy Repeating Blaster. I love that idea too, but I think that a "novice" version should come along with Novice Squad Leader and a Master...well, you get the idea. I don't think it needs a skilltree devoted to it, because we shouldn't really get many (or any?) individual combat specials, but instead I'd like to see group combat special abilities added into Strategy and Tactics.

what about some sort of status affecting weapon... something similar to the traps?

again I'll state that ANY SL only weapon would have to be at MASTER SL. If it's not, we'll have dabblers come and only take that one skill tree and not give a flying fig about our class... they just want the uber weapon.

so make it master or require skills from high in all four trees. CH went through this and they had to redo the entire class... let's make sure that doesn't happen to us.
