I used FD on Krayts last night just to test the nerf... FD is now pointless I feel it worked as this "let me lay down so I can wait for this Krayt to incap me" It's a great idea really...
Now i look at my other skills...... hmmm last ditch, very close to stopping shot of pistoleer really. Low-blow.. works sometimes.
Unarmed 4 - what's the point?
Underworld - why? so i can buy 1250 faction for 100k?
spices - so i can craft items that have a low demand?
FD- Again No point
Slicing - ok so it's convenient to slice my own stuff but not a big deal really I can go elsewhere
Can someone please remind me why I have 129 skill points wasted on a profession that now does next to nothing?

The title is nice
- It indicates to the players who are serious that you are a person who has a stick-to-it-tiveness that most players do not have and therefore are more stubborn then most.
- you have skills that could lead to great things in the future
- you have a promised profession revamp ahead of you somewhere (future is unclear)
- feign death still works in pve
- underworld can help your friends in the war
- slicingstill allows you to have the best of the best weapons (any percentage improvement is an improvement)
- the strongest pistol special in the game
- spices are the still the emergency kit for many situations

well count me out on the "chicks" part.. I am one of those....
I wanted to be a Smuggler for a long time and as we all know none of us have been able to do that..
Try feigning on something that area attacks... basically i layed there... got incapped and then as soon as incapped the fd status went away and i was just plain incapped.. it stood me up automatically once the timer on the incap ran out... anyone else have this experience?
i also feigned on another dragon and was db'd... Can't figure out the point of it now
Still searching for my answer of why i have more then 1/2 my skill points as a smuggler /shrug

well that is definately optimistic. the most optimistic I've seen.. I've been a smuggler forever and until last night wanted to keep it even after the CU but I'm starting to lose faith in the revamp and last nights feign tests i just found ridiculous.
I don't want to be untouchable but to just lay there and wait for incap which is what happened just seems kinda crazy to me. Besides slicing it was really the only skill I used and not talking about pvp at all. I don't pvp very often

Selling faction points is a big one, the demand on my server is great for an imp like me but i dont know about rebel smuggs. And basically us smugglers can make the most money in an hour than anyother proffession"w/ outcrafting stuff and surveying for the right resources or putting stuff on our vendors.

I honestly have been a smuggler for so long...I dunno where else to go?
It's like when you spend too much time at the same job your skills get stale you hate it but your afraid that if you leave not only will you find your a noob again but there is also that gamble that the very second you surrender the skills the revamp will come.

I can't speak for you, but I'm a smuggler because I can't think about being anything else, in spite of the lack of attention by the devs.
In fact, despite all the pain, I enjoy being a smuggler.

Even though I started as a Ranger, I have been a Master Smuggler for a good while now and I doubt I will ever drop it. I can't really imagine my character being another profession apart from what he is now,it wouldn't feel right. I actually enjoy slicing, I like most people play solo as there isn't much incentive for people to group anymore so some player interaction is welcome - plus I enjoy a good argument now and then with the more difficult customers
If the underworld and spices trees get reworked some time after the next ice age and correctly then the Smuggler profession will be a good solid profession that no one will question why they even bother to play it
As much as I feel disappointed that the current smuggler profession is a bit lacking I still can't bring myself to drop it, I'd rather cancel my account.
To answer your skill questions (my own personal view just like yours are):
Unarmed 4 - I agree with the unarmed requirement, Smugglers to me like a good bar room brawl.
Underworld - You mightquestion faction points but they can bring in good business. Though the Underworld tree does need looking at overall.
Spices - I agree, they are pretty much pointless when you can down a good brandy and canape.
Feign Death - Haven't had any problems with it in PvE. Haven't tried it in PvP as there doesn't seem much point to
Slicing - Can't really see the point your driving at there.
Just my 2 cents.

The reason is really quite simple...at least for those of us that have held our breath till we turned purple...we're insane, our new title should be Master Masochist.
