Thread: New Spice?

Ok, I'm doing the neutral string of the new Syren quest. So far I've picked up spice and a datapad from a wreck site. I've gone to a doctor to have it analysed and he says it's the most dangerous stuff he's ever seen and I need to find out what it is. So now I'm on my way to another person to find out what it is... I'll let you guys know when I have more info...

Well the quest finished with the next step. The guy who was supposed to analyse it for me was found dead with a datapad that had a warning to stop trying to find the source of this spice. I went back to the quest starter and she said things were too crazy and she'd talk to me when she could.

On a side note, the thing is a little buggy because she gives you a waypoint to talk to her, but there's nothing there, so you justgo back to the cantina to talk to her. Not sure if I have to wait for the next portion of the quest, or if it's time gated like the FS quests. Either way, things should get a bit interesting if there is a new spice (and I'm not even getting into whether or not it belongs to Smugglers ).

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Keep the stuff whatever it is.

There is a possibility that you will be able to mix it with other looted chemicals to make some other, more interesting spices.

I think this is part of the great loot revamp that has been partially released.

So far it's still in my pack, it hasn't gotten taken from me by the NPCs yet, and seeing as how I'm done for now... it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Oh yeah, and you only have two options with it so far... examine and destroy.

Kind of like the gaming tables huh?

Wonder what they think the purpose of adding unfinished content is?

unfinsihed content is what this game is all about!!!!

You have to create your own content!

For instance take the gaming table.

It does work - from a certain point of view-

I make the guild guess which booth I'm going to move the gaming table to in our cantina.

5 credits a guess and the winer get half and the cantina splits the otherhalf with the town.

wow Dragonsnack...but isn't that kind of labor-intensive on your part? Or do you not actually 'move' the table but just take bets on where you were thinking of moving it to?

POSSIBLE SPOILER??

"The Wookiees divide the wroshyr forests into seven vertical levels. The top level is occupied by the Wookiees, and it is further subdivided into the highest level (the nursery ring, where Wookiee children are minded and educated while their parents work), the habitation level (where Wookiee families dwell and work), and the maintenance level (where most Wookiee public utilities are located, including sewage and power generation).

As one travels farther down, the levels become increasingly more dangerous. A few predators exist on the level directly below the Wookiees' level, but these are small and easily circumvented. On the third level down, carnivorous syren plants exist in massive numbers and sizes. They play a part in Wookiee "coming-of-age" rituals, though only the most reckless Wookiees dare to venture so far down to prove their courage."

Just a thought. Sounded familiar.

Interesting.

I seriously doubt it has ANYTHING to do with us though.

I just did this so-called quest. I ran to Rori, back to Naboo, back to Rori, then to Tatoonie where it said the quest was done.

Wow, no reward, nothing...just ended with a warning not to pursue the source of the spice. No clues how to pursue it, nothing...a big fat nothing.

Nice we got a major publish with a lame dead-end quest.
