For the first time in two years smugglers were becoming a usefull and important part of Star Wars Galaxies. Spice stacking allowed us to finally participate in commerce. For the first time, our products were usefull and even necessary. Slicing has already been completely nerfed and never was a viable income source in the first place. I, like many others, was finally excited to set up a shop with my smuggler products. Anybody can buy spices. There is no imbalance, both sides in a fight can use them. The only people that will be hurt and remember this nerf in the long run are smugglers.

SOE there is no reason to remove spice stacking. All this will do is ruin the only chance smugglers had at being a part of this game. Please do not remove spice stacking.

Smugglers unite and sign this petition and lets try to get the devs to stop only listening to BH's and jedi. We are also a part of this game and should be considered.

I'm ok with spice stacking, but I do feel it's a bit much seeing people walking around with 12K Health bars.

Perhaps if we stack the downer upon stacking spice? Much like an OD.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

or dont stack at all - just extend the duration for each you take - like the Inspiration buff.

I don't think it can get up to 12k from spice. But even if it could, that's ok. Both sides in a fight can do it. We all know krayt dragons will regen faster than somebody on hundreds of spice. The only people that loose in this are the smugglers who want to craft spice. There won't be much demand with stacking removed. Spice stacking isn't a problem in the game and everyone's attention will move to something else next week, and that will be the new hot topic to get nerfed. People will search and find new ways to try to increase their health or to have an edge. Ultimately everything in this game is available to everybody so there can never be imbalance.

This nerf will fix nothing. It will only remove the demand for the smuggler's products and leave smugglers behind once again as people move to new topics and new methods and gaining an "edge" on their opponents.

Spice won't get you to 12k HAM alone... but with foods, spices, drinks, health crystals, armor health mods, and/or power boost it is actually quite easy to get that high. It is the ability to stack so many different things that is causing the problem. Exit defense stacking, enter HAM stacking.

Maybe if every spice didn't add so much. Maybe have each give a large boost to one stat, a minor boost to a secondary stat, and a negative boost to another. Instead of a good boost to three stats and a negative boost to one. Which then gets negated with another spice.

It might be difficult to implement, but why not make some spices react with others, either for added effect or negative effect. Have negative spice interactions that cause reduced stats if you do the wrong spices (like alcohol and sleeping pills). Make them affect movement speed while you're not fighting, speed and accuracy when you are.

yes, the highest I've seen was 14k.

/sign,

BUT, as mentioned, give a downer to each spice. It's like that now, sorta, if you watch real carefully, except that whenever the a spice wears out if your on withdrawl, the timer just resets to 30 secs, doesn't go above that.

I say, make the downer half the length of the spice, with reverse negative effects. That way, you can take a whole bunch at once if you absolutly have too, but the downer will actually kill you from a tripple incap. (just like a drug overdose... slipping in and out of conscienceness.. untill you finally move on..)

This way people can tacticly use it if they want, or pump themselves full of it if they feel it's their last option

I dont like that they stack..sorry godlike stats dont belong in game. But I do like the duration lasting longer if they use more then one. Say taking one gives you 15 minutes, taking two should last say 40 to make it worth taking them at the same time. Make a max amount of time you can stack them up to..like the entertainer buff. That way we still sell spice and people use more. Or maybe actually put some thought into it and let spices vary what they do like foods...I know it's alot to ask but come on different drugs should do different things.

rather than blanket stacking, or blanketly removing stacking, they should have a drug bar similar to a food bar that has a rundown timer of like, 15 minutes. Each spice tier can have different filling, maybe 20 for tier 1, 30 tier 2, 40 tier 3, and 50 tier four. THis way you could stack some spices but not infinitely stack them, yet at the same time give a reason for more than just tier 4 spices on the market. You know, spice it up a bit.

I think that sounds like a great idea. So some spices would "stack" but the downer or negative effects could hurt more than help.

I don't think anything should change... to be honest spices are not ultra expensive and so are not excluding anyone form buying like some foods do. You don't need to have a certain skill to use them. Everyone can use them, so there's no edge

It gives smugglers a reliable source of income since they are consumeable and short term. Is 12k Health over the top? Well not if everyone can get it....

Don't nerf, gives smugglers some love for once.

Why should spices NOT stack?? spices and foods can do more than aid PVP-- they can help give you the edge to actually still kill the high-end creatures in the game. The only reason there are people whining is because they didn't think of it first.

Why not have a spice "stomach," similar to food and drink? Give every spice a filling, so you are still able to stack some spices, but it won't be as extreme as it once was.

I also like the idea of giving each spice a penalty if you mix it with another spice.

In any case, /freakin sign
