Thread: Slicing...well its made me a fortune
I sliced for nearly two years. The new systems is no more interesting than the old.
I can make that same money in space and not have to endlessly explain the new slicing system to people.

ive made 300-500k for a tier 4 slice and thats the price they offered lol

Well, for that price i would expect a Damn UberT21 for that price. And by Uber i mean, UBER!!!
As it is, my best Un-sliced Laser Rifle is around 490 Min / 1170 Max with a base dps of 355. Speed 1.9 & Wound 14%.
And from whatI understand, there is a HARD Cap on Weapon damage & my LR above is close to that in its Un-sliced state.
If I am going to pay 400k for a Tier 4 Damage Slice, I want to know what i get for it...?
How much damage would Iexpect from a weapon already as powerful as the one above?
Dose a Tier 4 Slice take a Rifle like that over the Hard Cap?
Otherwise there's no way on this Gods earth I am paying 400k for something that will only give me 100 or so extra damage.
If thats what i get for my hard earned $$ I'll Just go & Make a new Account & create me a Mule Character to Make My Weps & Slice my gear.

Your alt will be welcome with his smuggler bretheren. Especially with no tools stashed to start with and having to fight hand over fist to find them, having to pay over 100k a pop for the 'good stuff', and then being blown off by customers who think you charge too much even though they themselves sold you the parts you needed for almost exactly the price you're charging. We will stand by and support you when you want to kick those clients in the teeth. They deserve it. So, since you will be creating a smuggler alt I suggest you read all the stickies and lurk around a bit more.Good luck with the grind
Much easier now without spice and slice.
You aren't getting rich off the slicing...you're getting rich off the rare loot required for high end slices. You could just sell the loot for about the same amount of money and save yourself a lot of trouble.

As for the problem of explaining issues to customers, the answer is easy...send yourself a customised email with all of the relevant info on it, including types of slice, customisation points and costs per slice. The when somone asks you for a slice you just forward them the said email and wait for a response. Pretty painless actually, AND because you have taken the trouble to send them something and add to their understanding of the game they a) become more willing to give you their hard earned cash b) want to come back to you and give you even more cash! And lets face it, in terms of smuggler content, every smuggler wants to be rich. (I would like to credit a great smuggling friend - Erson on Chimaera - for sharing his email with me, to which i then customised - thanks for doin all the work!)
So my advice is give the new system a little whirl, before loot drops increase. Go get rich
