Thread: one things that really bothers me
1) Jedi go bat$hit when glitterstim is talked about around publish 9
Result: No glitterstim
2) CU forums: Large spread dissention about possible 'too much content for smuggler' if smuggler becaome viable in combat as well as the recipient of the IC smuggler missions.
Result: unknown, but look for more of this is and when this change comes closer
3) Weapon's malfunctioning with the new slicing system is hotly debated among the gaming populace.
Result: changed before implementation
Anyone seeing a pattern?
Glitterstim was never put in because they never put in smuggling missions.
I don't think that players complained during the CU about smuggler content.
I hear they outted weapon breakage because of a bug... I'd like to see it put back in the game as soon as this is fixed ![]()
IMO it is unfair for us to have approx. the same combat capability as Pistoleer while ALSO having a major content system tied to the profession.
According to ArthurDent, that is why the Devs explained at the FF why we weren't getting a specific Jedi, or DE style Revamp Publish. They apparently feel that as we're now a combat prof, the other stuff isn't as important.
I REALLY think we're going to get hosed myself. Hate to be pessimistic, but it seems to blend seamlessly with the pragmatic.

can anyone say 'Bounty Hunter Terminal' ?
Well, dunno if you remember, but BH was originally the most SP intensive of professions, and thus different than pistoleer, rifleman, pikeman, etc.
If you want Smuggling to be like the BH terms... ick.
I think he's implying that since BH's get a fairly developed content system, that smugglers deserve the same.
Smuggler is the most iconic Star Wars profession next to Jedi. You then have Pilot, then BH, Pistoleer, etc...
It NEEDS content.
If the devs do skimp out, it is because they refuse to put in the time. F*ck, they are probably taking development time away from smuggler and putting it into fixing the Jedi problem.... What a f*cked up predicament this game is in.
I see his point. The fact that the BHs have their own meta game- regardless of how many points it took to get it- justifies us smuggling. It could have been argued before as a hybrid thing but frankly I'm not interested in any of that.
A smuggling profession should smuggle first and foremost. I'm really not givin' a s**t about how fair it is. You can pick up smuggler any day of the week (and most likely add a great deal to your other chosen profession).
I don't complain about Jedi being uber- (just all over the place)- I don't get pissed about people playing the crafting meta game (and I did have a lot of fun doing that by the way- swgcraft.com was the BOMB) and they shouldn't get upset about Smugglers being able to smuggle.
All these people looking at everyone else's plate and complaining really ruin it for themselves in the long run. It makes it so no one can get anything but nerfed to make the other poor b4stards around them happy.
