smuggler without the "Smuggler" profession
By that same token, we can all be Darth Vader if we click our heels three times, breathe heavily, and tell people that we're their father.
Nope... just not the same. But thanks for trying.

When we try telling someone that we are their fathers we might consider to do it while or after we used alot of Spice, aka Pie and Beer. This way atleast some might agree with us ![]()

How DARE you draw attention to the letters "RPG" in the acronym "MMORPG" that describes what this game is? Heh...
While we're at it... how DARE anyone expect to get features in a game that they pay for without have to resort to "make believe".

Show me where they said a feature of playing Star Wars Galaxies was you got to smuggle....
And, are you serious? "make believe"? What do you think you're playing here? It's *all* make believe.

Word association... says all. What does the word Smuggler mean?

Well, I'd dig up the "In Concept" thread if it didn't vanish, and all of GM's old posts about the promised Smuggler content, numerous Dev posts about how they are going to add it to the game... you can't tell me you haven't seen any of it. We've known it's coming. If it wasn't, not many of us Smugs would be around.
And, are you serious? "make believe"? What do you think you're playing here? It's *all* make believe. I'm playing a game that I can see and work with. I'm not pretending that there is something there that isn't. Stop being so damned literal, it makes you look stupid.

Do we tell people that we are their father, or the more 'smuggler' way, "Who's your Daddy?"

Oh wow, you're resorting to insults so early in this discussion?
As for the In Concept documents, and any developer posts... Those aren't stated features of this game. If you're relying on those as what the game *is*, then you're mistaken. You get what is in the game now, and anything that is 'talked about' or 'promised' doesn't exist until it's in the game. If it's not good enough, you have the option of leaving. I did it for 9 months. It might be a drop in the bucket, but that was $135 of my money that SOE didn't get because I didn't like the state the game was in.
And if I find I don't like the Combat Upgrade, or the new Smuggler changes, I'll do it again. That, playing on the Test Center when these changes are going in, and submitting bug / suggestion reports are the only control any of us have. Petitions, complaining, and other futile attempts to get a developer's attention and try to get something changed or added does nothing more than make the one doing those actions frustrated. They accomplish nothing.
On the "pretending that there is something there that isn't" concept.... Perhaps you're taking the game too literal yourself if everything you want your character to do has to have a 'literal' in-game system with pre-programmed rules. It's one thing to play 'make-believe', it's another thing entirely to get others involved in it with you. I've done it, and it's led to some of the best game time I've spent in SWG.

We already have Really Powerful Guns. Like the T21 or rocket launcher. I don't know what you're talking about.
