It is most likely really old but here goes/

Go to Dantoine
Join a solo group
slice a mission terminal
Get a mokk misison for 40k+
attack the base
when they start htitting you use feign death

Its a great way to make money when u are desperate

You mean like shoot it a couple time, feign, shoot it some more, feign, rinse and repeat? That sounds like a good idea but it'd take awhile by my assessment, granted i don't have last ditch or anything like that yet.

Well, I was using an Light lightning cannon. But I am sure if u use a pistokl and have armor on it would be just as easy.

I used to do this all the time (when I had time to run janta missions). Running janta missions pays better than slicing, or selling faction points, hands down.

My way of earning money is less money per mission, but much faster, due to being a Master Smuggler and Creature Handler. I pull a couple pets out, go to a Rebellion Mission Terminal, slice it, and pick up two missions for ten grand each. Technially, you don't need the pets, as long as you can get the missions up to difficulty 27 or above. However, it is a good idea to use them as tanks, and keep the enemy distracted(three Storm Troopers, for me), while continuously hitting them with high powered attacks from ideal range with your pistol of choice. Add to the fact, if you get a pet with dizzy strike, you can low blow the poor NPC and take them out fairly quickly. Typically, I find the NPC's will aggro on the pets unless your face to face with them.

Here's the standard payout on these missions.

One mission: 10 000+ credits + all loot
115+ faction points + faction for each NPC + faction for the banner(odd that you get faction for the banner *and* the mission...)

Then double everything, and within ten to fifteen minutes(time varies on distance between missions), you get upwards of 21 000+ credits, loot, 260+ faction points.

This method also helps you rank fast. Right now I'm sitting on Lt. Colonel in the Rebellion. I can run ten missions a day, for six days, and rank. Ain't slicin' grand?

Ya this is a pretty good way to get credits fast. If you buff have good defence mods you can do it without FD. Me I just fanshot and take them out pretty fast and then blow the lair. About 2-3 minutes a mission since I do weak damage most times to the lair.

Solo group is where you have a big group but you are all doing your own thing, you get more XP and money when you are in a big group, even if you arnt fighting togeather.

Are these sliced solo group missions do-able by a master smuggler/artisan/marksman? I earned most of my pistol xp on dant and, even when buffed, never...ever...ever...had luck against janta or other high level baddies. Is there a combat tactic that I'm missing because the money for these missions sounds great (slicing and swoops aren't exactly padding my bank account). Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well in theory if your quick on your feet I imagine they can be done. Your down side is the master artisan. It's taking up alot of SP you could use elsewhere. Might be better for you to either drop some there and pick up some BH or pistoleer. Pistoleer will give you alot more defence mods and you'll dodge alot more if you get high enough. If you still want to keep the master Artisan you can always drop the master marksman and pick up pistoleer trees. Another route you can do is just remain a buisnessmen and if you picked up novice WS and AS you could sell slicing supplies that might gain you a good income.

Hey loudspeaker, back in the day you actually had to have a group to take out missions like that. Unless you were a CH, of course. Hah, how things change. Did I mention the snow everywhere and how everything on Dathomir was uphill? The malklocs, they were simply everywhere, but we used every part of them, even the tail.

I'd think even a pure smuggler without pistoleer skills could take these missions if you're buffed and have a suit of composite. You'll heal as fast as they can hurt you, so missing a lot won't be a problem. Janta are weak against the DX2 and Geo blaster, which you wouldn't have access to, but Mokks pay the same amount (~31K unsliced, 44K sliced) and are weak against FWGs, so paydirt.

Janta drop some neat stuff once in a blue moon, but either mission's reward beats the pants off your average day slicing.

i actually mastered a combat profession... well, 2 upon master smuggler... i'll log in my alt, buff up my character, take him to dantooine, run janta/mokk missions on a sliced terminal in a solo group, attack only the lair, and hop on my bike after the lair's destroyed... earn about a mil every couple hours...

This isn't really about making money as by USING your Smuggler skills, is it?

It's really about how to make alot of money with a character that HAS Smuggler skills. They are two different things.

If you are a Master Smuggler, you can also be a few other Masters as well. I don't know the exact combos, but many Master Smugglers also are Master Pistoleer and TKM. I am. And anyone who is TKM can make 1 million credits in a 3 hour buff. I've done it many times and the guys who have posted above about Jantas and Mokks are correct. But can you still kill the Jantas and Mokks using JUST your Master Smuggler skills?? (ie: Marksman 0400, Brawler 4000, Master Smuggler) With a a set of composite, a good buff, some spice, some foods, some brandy .... yea I guess you can, but it's gonna take a LONG time, and you're gonna take a beating....as will your armor.

If you wanna make 1 million credits in 3 hours, here's what you need to do/have:

  • high kinetic resist Armor

  • Brandy - drink

  • Ahrisa - food

  • speederbike swoop or faster vehicle

  • TKM or Master Swordsman or Master Fencer .... get the drift, yet (top tier melee class)

  • weapon of choice for said profession

  • 3+ hour master doctor buff

  • 3+ hours to play the game

  • go to Dantooine

  • get into asologroup (thats a group that doesn't stay together. They only group to pull the high level missions)

  • go to an Improved Job market city ( like Sweetwater onDantooine - BRIA )

  • pray that its not laggy (this will make or break you chance to hit the 1 million mark in 3 hours)

  • take 2 missions of 31k-33k (Janta or Mokks) in the same general direction

  • GO GO GO !!!

  • after you kill both lairs asap, jump back in/on your vehicle and head back to that mission terminal to do it again.....and again.....

In about 3 hours, you'll have your 1 million credits.

In my experience, slicing the terminal is a waste of time. The slice only increases the missions on the first page and you rarely get two missions in the same direction on one page. So the chances that those 2 would be on the first, sliced page is not worth the time or effort ... i guess. Maybe it's worth a shot, but in my method, you may end up aborting the sliced mission .... so it's your call. I refresh the term many many times to get two missions in the same direction. For example, the first TWO missions I get under 1300m I take no matter the direction. I keep on refreshing until I get a close match for one of the 2 I originally accepted. I abort the odd-man-out and accept the matching mission. Pretty easy.

  • lets say the first 2 missions are 869 N and 1130 SE

  • I refresh and don't get any 31k - 33k missions

  • I refresh and get one 31k mission 2116 S don't bother, too far away

  • I refresh and get two 31k missions 1820 NW and 1100 W don't bother

  • I refresh and get one 33k mission 1210 NE GOOD !!

  • delete your 1130 SE mission and accept the 1210 NE mission

  • now you have two missions in the North-ish direction 869 and 1210.

  • Hit the 869 first, then the 1210.

  • head back to the terminal

If you wanna kill all the Jantas and Mokks for XP or for the loot, it will take a bit longer (you can still hit the million mark in 3 hours) but you get the chance for crystals and DOT weapons (knives and staves basically)

I don't think I missed anything, but if I did, please help me out by posting my omissions. Now ... I gotta get back to work. I've been billing my client for the time it took me to put this together Ahhhhh, the life of a computer programmer.
