Recent events (Tiggs post) have revealed the lava flow of anger, and mistrust that is free flowing through out our community.A thread meant to introduce us to a fellow Smuggler who happens to work for Sony Online Entertainment had turned into a flame fest. Some posts were friendly, some were not. Cooler heads of our community leaders attempted to extinguish the ocean of fire, whether they were successful only time and the continued posting by Tiggs and Goliath will tell.

One cannot blame those whose passion overflowed. Much like a dog that has been beaten too much, common sense dictates that the dog will either cower or bite with a “knee-jerk” response to red names posting in our forum. Postings of which has not happened in a while. Many probably alluded that “A treat” would bring the hope of revamp information, and were angered when there hopes were dashed upon the rocks. We as a community are dying of a thirst for knowledge in this desert called unknowing. We have had the promise of a revamp pushed back for other things considered more important. We have suffered through set backs, through nerfs, and most importantly through the lack of actually doing our namesake by all its members on both the ground and in space.

However, we as Smugglers are not dogs, nor are we a wild pack of bloodthirsty wolves. We must remember that we are a solid community brought together by a common love of our profession. It is bad form to attack those whose opinions differ from ours, or for simply having a different colored text in our forum names.We are fortunate to have such a great champion in Wes as our correspondent. We have now, assembled the best we have to offer duking it out in a lone sandbox. They are fighting for us, to make our profession great and a working part of these galaxies that are a part of the Star Wars universe.We must all put our thoughts, concerns and our passion behind those that represent us. They are our voice. United we are heard, divided our voices are drowned out on the winds of confusion. I have counted myself among the “Master Cynics” for a while now. Today I retire that title and ask my comrades to do the same. Stand shoulder to shoulder with me and our leaders to move forward with constructive posts, intelligent insight, and support for our fellow gamers regardless the position they hold or the ideas they share.

To Tiggs, I ask that you feel welcome in our forums. It is understood that you would not post anything unless you were sure it was right. Your foresight has proven that you care about our profession and us. You have recognized that we have had our many hopes shattered and wish to do us no further harm. Please, post and engage with us here in our community. Remember we are a passionate lot, and we will remember you are simply more than just a name painted in red text.

To Goliath, our brother-in-rogue,..you are welcome here in the house of Solo, of Calrissian and Karrde. You are one of us. You were a gamer before you were a member of what many have come to know as “The Establishment”.

yeah i felt slightly bad for them yesterday... As I know Tiggs is paid to be the talking head. And Goliath is paid to do art. I really wish somebody would tell us who "the" person we would need to bother is...... I don't feel so bad about the approch we are taking......We could take our complaints to every other media outlet. So far we really haven't. Basically I feel as though it is DUE me now! I did pay and continue to pay with the expectations that they will fix smuggler to be something along the lines that 90% of us ARE expecting. Not only is this an investment (15 dollars a month) its also my hobby and I don't like people running over my good time!...... Basically what has happened here is lots of us, myself included have taken the crappy way they have treated us, personal. And its not like I have not spent well over a year waiting for them to do what they said they were gonna do! I hope thats shoulder to shoulder "enough" for you..... Because thats about all your getting! :-P at this point anyways!

There is a thread here (and which one escapes me at the moment) pondering what would happen should a dev post here. To paraphrase,:

To the person wondering who we should be bothering... They don't really tell us because then our scattered and disorganized monkey-shouting would be focused like a laser on that one single person, which no one would wish on anyone. I mean look what happened to people that have nothing to do with that.
