Thread: Armor....Does the bonus stack between professions?

So if you are a master Pistoleer/ Master Smuggler...
Are your recon armor numbers :
Accuracy : 80%
Movement: 30%
Rate of Fire: 120%
or do they not stack?
Accuracy: 40%
Movement: 20%
Rate of Fire: 60%
Anyone know?
Another possibility for stackingmight be:
Accuracy: 64%
Movement: 36%
RoF: 84%
Which would be a nice compromise between the two. Though I don't really know what is up with these bonuses, myself.
Edit: Though I guess Akiram does. ![]()

Let's suppose you build a template that has certifications for two (or three) different sets of armor. We'll use a Smuggler/Commando template for example.
This would give you, I believe:
Assault Armor Accuracy Mitigation 40%
Assault Armor Movement Mitigation 60%
Assault Armor Rate of Fire Mitigation 20%
Reconnaissance Armor Accuracy Mitigation 40%
Reconnaissance Armor Movement Mitigation 20%
Reconnaissance Armor Rate of Fire Mitigation 60%
Now, what happens if you decide to mix-and-match parts of that armor? What if you're wearing Recon armor gloves, boots and leggings, and Assault armor chest, and helmet? (I don't know if there is a benefit to doing this or not, it's all hypothetical.) I'm wondering if there are ways to almost negate the negative effects some armor has, or to find a "balance point" by combining pieces of several types of armor together. SOmething that should be looked at anyway.
I think one of the EARLY CURB docs said that you'd get the least of all worlds... in this case, if you mix and match, you're looking at 40/20/20. Sad times.

I hate armor cert's
I think it's a great idea. It'll keep us all from being composite clones. In fact, I'm looking forward to Composite Armor being vulnerable to my DL44! I hate composite armor...
Also, I love the idea that armor will have REAL penalties. Maybe we'll see folks fighting without armor again.

also i'm not a big fan of the armour certs. maybe if there was advantages of whereing one type of armour over another but you could put on any armour, would be a better system.
i like my ST armour, i like the look of it, but as a smuggler i only have the option of using scout and all my other armour is nothing more then a decoration and a reminder of the past battles i used it in.

You can still wear that stuff... it's just not effective.- then whats the point? Anyone can wear any armor, from what I understand. But the penalties for doing so are reduced based on your professions' role(s). - see above
I'm gonna seriously miss fighting in ST gear. That was always my favorite. But the scout armor will be fun, too. - glad you get a new set to wear but rebels get none.
But it'll be cool to see it defined by role. - yes but there is no reason not to double cert armor per profession (plus for speed for light armor plus for protection med/heavy armor
I REALLY feel for you RIS guys, though. That is looking like it's gonna kick quite a few people in the teeth. /bow
