Here is a link to a slicing calculator, try it out yoursef and you will see that these numbers are wrong. The min damage given there is always lower than it would atually have to be with the given % of sliced dam. This guy only checked the max dam, never the min dam.

Powerup exploit.

No other way around it, he exploited to get 45% weapon slices.

NO OTHER WAY AROUND IT.

35% is max for master smugglers on weapons.

Hope the guy gets his account canceled.

I didn't know of this exploit but if it means what it sounds like, then it would explain the different % of min and max dam increase.

I had heard of a double slice exploit ahwile back, and then I heard it was fixed. Could those guns have been created before the double slice was fixed?

what's been the difference in the min damage... I didn't sit to do that math in my head. But would the difference in min/max be similar to a 16%min 32%max powerup? I just learned about that exploit the other day actually.

Rofl. I have to say that I find the thread to be really amusing. I am not one for abusing exploits, but I find the condemnation of Smo-key very ironic. I mean I understand Weaponsmiths and Crafters being upset, but other Smugglers?

I mean c'mon Smugglers are shady characters for crying out loud. It's not as if the guy was bragging all over the place. He was being shady! His only problem is that he got caught by some laserbrain with a penchant for spontaneous statistical corroboration.

Seeing as how he got caught, I think whatever happens to him is deserved (because that's the price for exploitation baby), but for other smugglers to clammor for his head and decry this act is just plain "un-smugglerish".

I am a HUGE Star Wars fan and have a shady past in my youth, so the Smuggler is an appropot profession for me, seems likethe complaining smugglersare just frontin'.

Asad day for Smo-Key. I don't know ya but I pour my 40 oz Jawa Beer for ya.

I have to disagree. Although I am not condeming Smo-key, the last thing this game needs to aggravate the existing bugs are exploits. Even with the knowledge of how to perform these exploits, many smugglers (including myself) lived with 8% slices after slice IV was "fixed" and still live with 13% slices at master. If this is indeed an exploit, it needs to get removed from the game -- period.

There's a difference between being shady in game and taking advantage of game mechanics and exploiting. One has to do with how you rp your toon, the other has to do with breaking the terms of service. Apples and oranges.
