It's been a long run, but how many of us are finally tired of holding out for more than a year? Dealing with the idiocy of the way our profession has been handled? To go a greater distance, I'll personally say I'm also disapointed with JTL (especially since it's to be released in October 2004 and not pushed back). They banned my main for complaining about them not fixing the Smuggler bugs, so now I'm just sort of pondering cancelling both my accounts and thanking SOE for the fish.
*sigh*

My account runs out in November, and I'm not renewing. JTL is OK but not the end all be all it was described as. There is no smuggler content in JTL, which means there will be no new smuggler love for at least 6 months. I'm outta here.

My advise, if you're tired of being a Smuggler, you quit Smuggler. If you're tired of SWG, quit SWG. I'm still not tired of both so I'm gonna keep playing... When I get tired of Smuggler, I'll quit Smuggler (but I assure you I'll quit the Master Pistoleer first, tell me about it
). For now, I'm only a Master Smuggler on the weekends, it's tiring to answer so many tells when you got important things to do and lil time.
Oh and I'm not paying more for JTL. Bleh.

i know we smugglers need a revamp that has been long waited for but menwhile i can have all sorts of fun.
right now i made a new bio which states i dont slice for public anymore BUT if a good offer is made i will slice for them.
i love being needed and making people BEG for my services, all of this i do while i role play a bit hehe
it all depends buddy, maybe another perspective you will have if u change prof's for a bit, maybe get another template or do some roleplay.
i had an image designer do me a look same as han solo, tailor did my clothes and when im bored a do a little roleplay heheh

That comment wasn't really necessary now, was it?
I have no problems with the Guild I'm in. They are a great bunch of people once you get to know them and actually talk to them outisde the game itself. Not EVERYBODY treats the way people act in a game as how they act in real life. ![]()

I have just bought another account so I aint going nowhere. I am however about to drop the underworld and spices lines as they are no use to me whatsoever (apart from getting master slices) so I will be a super pistoleer with some slicing skills.

I'm still relatively new compared to most of you here. I'm going to stick it out with the game and profession for a few months after JTL and see how the progress is going. If they look as if they're still completely ignoring us then chances are I'll cancel my account and move on. If they come out with something worthwhile a few months after that then so be it. I'll start paying again. Smuggling is what I wanted to do since I started. My vision for the profession certainly didn't involved mainly slicing for tips.

Also pretty new and still having fun. I love smuggler lots and lots. Of course I am a pretty die hard roleplayer so it's all about the role play for me. I guess I'm lucky in that I'm still new enough that what I'm doing is fun and I still believe the game will get better. Not to mention I'm a fan of almost every flight game ever made so JtL is really something to look forward to. I'm here...for a while I think.

I've been playing almost since launch and am a Master Smuggler.
I'm considering cancelling my account. I enjoy being a Smuggler and TK, but the content is just not
there for us.
A lot of the game seems to be around the Jedi grind, whether it be holo or village.
From what I've seen from the inception until now, it's been severely detrimental
to the game.
More time should have been spent improving the existing classes. I mean many of the
crafting professions could really use some new items or some updates. All of the hybrid
professions are borked in some way.
What's kept me around for so long is the "Star Wars" fantasy, but I'm just
not feeling it. I haven't bought JTL yet and have resisted doing so because we've been
strung along for so long.
I'm still not sure if I'm cancelling just yet, but it ain't looking good.

I won't quit... Just yet, I'm going to wait for JTL, and then see what happens about the supposed take over by Lucas Arts, but also because it took me bleeding long enough to master Smuggler, i aint leaving it now.

SlickDevlin...
I hear ya. I'm in the same boat. I was ready to call it quits 4weeks ago.
I have done most of the badges (65+) and special content areas (corvettes, warrens, geo cave, etc).
As RIfleman/Smuggler I have just about hunted/grinded myself into a stupor the past year.
And JTL doesn't sound like my kind of game.
I was thinking that the only thing that can keep me around is new, imaginative content with the Jedi publish.
OK, so I get the visit from the old man, and head to the village.
You might imagine my reaction when I figure out that with no free unlocks anda 30:1 ratio for Weapons XP to FS XP, I will need 220,500,000 of Rifle XP JUST TO REACH INITIATE. Thats 220 MILLION. Well, since I was already burned out on hunting, you can bet I'm not excited about this.
I think SOE may lose another one soon..........
