i am apalled at the amount of "love" the golden children are getting... logged into stratics thais am, ans saw this. WTH? this is seriously going to start a fire on the bH boards. Reducing Jedi Vis to 0, and instantly promoting all Jedi under 1 mill xp, to 1 mill xp? that's **self-edit**!! i agree that Geedai Vis should be leveled. but this is going to spawn a whole new gaggle of "pWNZ0r t3h Nub" Geedai.

I'll help out the Jedi in my guild cuz they've been friends for a long time. I'll help out the Jedi in the rebel guild alliance we have on Ahazi because I don't want to alienate the alliance. But any other Jedi can suck it.

Bitter? Heck yeah I am!!

Jedi envy? Heck NO! I've never taken conscious steps toward obtaining a Jedi. I never opened a holo, and I've been playing since the second day of launch. Sure, I have almost every POI, the rebel themepark and the Jabba themepark, but I've been around since the second day of launch!! I'm a rebel Colonel and a Smuggler. Wouldn't it make sense that I would have done those? Everyone who examines me thinks I'm trying to get in the village. Well, I couldn't care less about your stinkin village.

It's still unknown to me why so many of you hate jedi so much... Whoah! Every Jedi with under -1mil now is reset to -1mil. Whoah! Visibility is reset to 0. Whoah! Who cares?

It isn't really funny to get helplessly beaten over and over again (even if they earned the visibility) because of some bug (because most of these under -1mil guys weren't getting it because of different BHs picking their missions in different time frames, it was because of bugs with the TEFs and the Visibility). So well damnit, we get no love, we don't get many fixes. Dude everything in Smuggler works, just not the way we thought it would when we chose the profession. We complain about lack of content and we're right, but there're some professions like Jedi (or its twin paralitic brother, the Pistoleer which I'm a member of unfortunately) who have some serious bugs that need to be adressed first.

Besides, this wasn't even a code fix, just an event, so... Erm, who cares? Those who seem to hate jedi for personal reasons.

The main reason people react like that when they hear the word "jedi" is not because they hate them. I wouldn't say everything in smuggler works, since the pistol specials are of no use unless you have pistoleer because they are too slow, the spices are useless and guess what, we can't smuggle. Pistoleer is a good example of such a broken profession too, as you can see in my sig, I share the "pain of the pistoleers". It's true that the jedi profession needs fixes, and again guess what, so do we, so does pistoleer, actually so does dancer, image designer... to sum it up, almost every profession needs them! Yet when you take the patch notes from the last few months, you read "jedi, jedi, jedi..." This and the fact, that we get more jedis everyday in a timeline where none should exist is why meanwhile so many people almost freak out when they hear the word "jedi" again. And the best joke is, from what I've read in some threads on their boards (wanted to know what kind of guys they really are) not even they are happy about many things done to their profession.

That they're of no use doesn't mean that they "don't" work, which is my point. Language comprehension works, of no use, but works. The FP discounts works, although the limit of Sell out is low. Slicing works, albeit random. FD works, PS works, LB works, LD works, although only for pistols but hey, Commandos don't use any of the Commando specials in Unarmed which is also a pre-req like us. Spices are not useless, tho they've been relegated to emergency use cuz of the downer.

Compared to a TEF that doesn't vanish and a Visibility that won't fade in 3 weeks even if you die by hands of a BH and will make you get killed over and over and over, well damnit, it does look like our profession is working (although not living by its name, we don't smuggle). Personally I think there're more pressing issues in this game to be addressed than making us smuggle stuff (which I think smugglers would get bored eventually).

Oh and I agree with you, having around 5 working specials on Pistoleer is something that should have been adressed at the release, but here we are, 1 year and still nothing... We gotta wait till combat revamp... Maybe a year... Or two... Of monthly fees of course Lol, I dunno why I have spend over 2mil on pistols when only TKA works for me, and the only weapon I use for it came from a crate of regular VKs (60k)...
