I'm one of those mainly complaining about the timeline thing, but I would prefer if they just let the entire thing advance to better timeline pretty fast, like to after Episode VI for example, since getting rid of all the jedi isn't possible anyway. And lets face it, most people here are playing to be a jedi once, so for god's sake let them but please in a way that doesn't destroy the entire story. It would probably even be less a problem that so many want to be jedis if it weren't such "high end" goal, not every change in the galaxy is made through jedis. In Episode VI the destruction of the Death Star was made possible thanks to Han, Leia and Chewy, none of those three is a Jedi.

Whena metal sword weilding fencer can dominate a guy with a blaster we might as well throw continuity out of the window. So using continuity as a reason to hate Jedi is really not appropriate in Star War Galaxies.

Yes but that argument also disables the jedi's main source of whining 'Ohh, but look how powerfull the jedi are in the movies, I want to be just like yoda and mace windu!'

I never said I hated Jedis, what I hate is how they are put in this game in a timeline in which they aren't supposed to be in, I don't blame the player for the system, whom I blame is the system itself and therefor those who made it.

This was rather needed. The -jedi xp is as mentioned, combat xp. People were going into several million xp debt due to bugs and such.

I agree with the person above. How can you have negative XP? Yes iread the reply explaining how they are actually getting negative XP, my point is it shouldn't go negative. It should stop at zero. The devs need to fix this. I am not a Jedi but can sympathize with this problem.

Heh, what you are missing is the fact that before fixing the things we had, they gave us more things, actually not everyone, only some people. They leave those of us who either dont have the desire or time to unlock jedi with several broken professions to choose from, while the minority of the community gets a working profession (actually about 5 professions) that keeps getting attention over the original broken professions.

So now, our complaint is not that jedi exist in the timeline, although many people say this in hopes of them getting removed or what have you, its the fact they get all the fixes, all of the content, all of the attention. People whine about how they have to grind out 50 million experience or whatever to acheive jedi, and even then its hard. Well, I can grind out 5 times whatever you grind out and never have the hopes of becomming a smuggler.

The devs need to introduce a system in which we can dedicate all 250 skill points to a given profession (ie smuggler) and have the prowess in that ability be unequaled. From what I've heard this will be involved with the combat revamp but who knows? We can only hope. Meh just my two cents.

Even though I sympathize with the Jedi negative XP loss problem, I agree with your statement 100%.

Well giving continuity during this time there were actually MANY jedi and force adepts throughout the galaxy. 99% of those people though were hiding/oblivious to the fact. Those who were jedi or had the benefit of SOME force training knew that if they were known they would have Vader and all of the emperor's Dark Jedi assassins on their ass which they knew would be instant death. So instead of risking death and the ability to breath, screw or whatever they would enjoy doing the next day, most just lead normal lives keeping their abilities a secret. Many of the SW heroes in the books and movies were force sensitive to some extent.

I'm confused about how someone can have negative experience points. If I had no experience points, I would be pretty bad at fighting, about as inexperienced as I could be, and pretty easy to beat. With negative points, would I stand there drooling? Forget how to hold a lightsaber? Soil myself and need help eating? I'm confused about how I would actually become worse at something than I was previously. If I had no experience at something I would be pretty bad right? How would I get worse.
I'm not a Jedi and haven't been keeping up on this. Maybe I should go ask in their forum. Gives me something to do while I'm busy not smuggling.

Your skill in this game determines how many boxes you HAVE. Not how many points you have. The negative means that they have an exponential amount more to attain the needed exp for xxx box.
